  1. Off topic question but something that has been on my mind... considering how young Hamilton is this season.. and the influx of NHL talent into the AHL.. will this be another rough year for the Dogs? I mean yes we get Leblanc... but some teams are getting Skinner, Henrique, Eberle, RNH... the list goes on... will this hurt our guys development? Or will they thrive in the increased pressure? Just wondering what happened last lockout with this kind of thing or if there is even a comparable.

  2. It appears that there are a few Habs nursing injuries at the moment. As part of the 'lockout rules,' players injured before the lockout not only get paid but also have full access to the facilities that otherwise would be restricted. Today, Rene Bourque (as we all knew) as well as Petteri Nokelainen and Erik Cole were all rehabbing at Brossard today. I have no idea what's ailing Nokelainen/Cole.

Well I thats always good I guess haha

  3. As a side note Vancouver is on fire after spending half the year at the bottom of the league. So officially it looks like Washington will have the worst pick in the draft of all non playoff teams and Vancouver will go from drafting first overall to around 10th. Worst case scenario? I think I have pulled it off.

Anaheim has both Ottawa and Toronto's 1st round picks. Both teams lost at least 3 top players at one time for longer then 3 months.

Meaning... He is guaranteed two picks in the top five.

Worst Case Scenario for Ontario? Acheieved.

  4. Edmonton is good with this... I wasn't in a need to move scenario but only one deal had been made in trade time so I thought the board looked lonely.

With good scouting the two seconds could turn out well for Edmonton :D!

  5. Who knows, but i am a bit more optimistic and really dont think Bergevin missed the boat by not signing the 3 you mentioned.

If Bergervin did not go after Lats I believe that would be a mistake, he is young enough and said he regretted his behavior as a hab. I believe he will be a steal for Ottawa, he has performed well when he isn't injured.

Jagr and Whitney... I don't know what to think about it. I would have been really happy to see them here... but I do not overly care that they didn't come. I was more for signing Jagr last season.

  6. Was the last sim one where i lost 8-0 too toronto lol

hahaha man my team is getting butchered by injuries... Last sim de Haan, Shattenkirk, Vrbata, and Vincour all missed time :D!

  7. Absolutely. He might be the best bet to steal that job. Especially if we have a short lockout and he spends a month or two in Sarnia, and is at game speed and is called back to tryout for the big club.

That could be the best situation for him, gaining confidence in the ohl as well as getting his sea legs back after such a long injury. Then once he has peaked jumps up and plays with the big boys.

  8. You're correct that we're probably jumping the gun with DD and the truth is, I hear Habs brass talk more about Eller being a center/wing guy. That may be why they haven't pushed on the left wing position because they consider Eller being a guy that can fill it. Leblanc would definitely fit trying for third line center, but RedSolo should know that Nokia is our fourth line centerman.

I was hoping he was press box tbh
