WELL..... this is great news
I returned from a reconstructed acl, lcl and quad tendon after 13 months with a semi tendinousis procedure (hamstring) and ive never looked back..
clearly markov rushed back from his first procedure (less then 6 months) but im not to worried about his 2nd procedure because his first was with a cadavor (corpse's achilles tendon) so the rehab was far less, but the failure rate higher! they say ligamentization occurs after six months (the body breaks down the tendon and rebuilds it as a ligament) he was back prior!
this 2nd time round they used his patella tendon (tendon that holds the knee cap in place).. so outside of a 2nd clean up of the actual joint to remove debris, bone chips and the ligamant/ tendon its essentially his first procedure! the rehab is much more because the knee cap has to restabilize but the knee itself should be just fine the trama of the operation is much less.
lets hope he where's his brace early on and remember he's not even 1 year post op! so he's on schedule..
gorges was back earlier because he used a cadavor and its holding up...
Yeah thats great info there! Thanks!

Ha ha, no, I didn't mean you personally - I meant that people in general have never really needed to speak French in order to make a life for themselves in Montreal. With an English-speaking community numbering between 600 000 to 1 million depending on how it's defined, there was always the option of living in a mostly English bubble. I was making a historical point about my former hometown. Sorry, didn't mean to offend.
Wasn't offended no worries

You never did, though.
I spent a little over 2 months there working this summer and my dad lived there for 9 years
-
I don't know how fluent he is, but I figured Babcock would be somewhat bilingual having attended Magill.
You do not really need to know french to live in Montreal anymore... kinda sad, but true.

So... Trotter should be good for roughly 373 points this year, that'll help Hamilton ;P
-
I like seeing Hamilton win

About the opener, what was the stat I think Brian used... we are 1 and 7 in out last 8 openers and the win was in a shootout?
That predates JM.
I mean I wish we could have Guy Boucher... but I really do not have any major problems with JM. The coach can only do so much before it becomes the players respectability to well... play.
I think we are being over critical.

Oh, no, your trades haven't been approved by the TC yet. They can't be input by the simmer until they're approved.
Oh I got cha
-
Do I have to do em in my game?
Like I just uploaded the sim and I do not have the traded players in my roster, so do i need to do the trades in game?
-
What about trades? Are they put into the sim?

I didn't know this, his last year in Russia was with Lokomotiv Yaroslav.
They interviewed a bunch of Russians on the incident but I never saw one with him..
-
He must really like Ottawa!
I'm just that good ;P
I have a rep among virtual players after a couple weeks ;P

For those of you counting the days before Rick DiPietro got hurt again, the final count is at 8 days. He took a shot off the head in practice and was undergoing tests today to see if he has a concussion as a result. Isles fans can rejoice knowing there's only one more yea...I mean decade left in that contract.
Oh wow... Man that is so brutal! I wonder if he will ever play more then 20 games?

There's still a long ways to go before I'm ready to call that a good move for the Avs. (I get why they did it but that was too steep for my liking.)
Of course, a lot of season to go. I 100% that they gave to much for him.

.960 save % and a 1.30 GAA so far...
He is actually making what looked like a horrible trade into a good one haha!
Who would have thought that

Here are my guesses as to why Moen's on that line:
- It worked well last game and Martin doesn't like to mess with success
- The Habs often use Plekanec as a shutdown guy, having a second defensive player would be helpful if that's how they plan to use the line tonight
- Keeping the balance of 3 'scoring' lines, take Kostitsyn off the 3rd line and a trio of Moen-Desharnais-Darche isn't likely to be any sort of threat
- Chemistry with Plekanec/Moen from time on the PK
I think those two reasons are why he is there for sure. (he also started fast last year didn't he? Getting some early goals and looked solid at the start of the season?)

Are you sure you offered it with the TW?
110% i ran it three times after you said that to make sure.

héhé Join HWL and make your post count EXPLODE !!!!
So true
Since joining my post count has jumped from .5 a day to 1.5 hahaha

unless your Bobby Orr of course, but that was a long time ago
That was the first thing that came to my head but I took that line of logic as well
-
Hopefully he'll be back to 100% by the time WJC evaluation camp comes around.
Would be a shame after such a great start.

550,00 is not an option for signing bonus and Mitchell Spencer does not like TW contracts (i.e. he won't even consider it).
The 550 was a typo... but he did except the contract (it was 500)
30-8-2016 Mitchell Spencer agrees on a contract. Mitchell Spencer has signed a $525,000 per year, 2 year deal with the Ottawa Senators. Detailed terms of the deal were not announced.
A native of Canada, Mitchell Spencer was originally drafted to the NHL by the Montreal Canadiens in the 3rd round of the 2012 entry draft. He has not yet played at NHL level. The 23 year old center is looking forward for the start of the season.
He agreed in my simulation... so...

I'd like to see mine go through so I can get a better sense of my team, but I don't have a problem waiting if there isn't a back up TC of some kind.
