  1. For future reference, please ensure you list each player's CON (can be found in PlayerScout). Every so often, a player's CON can drop in a trade, listing it allows you to get it fixed afterward.

    All fixed

  2. To Ottawa

    Tyler Cuma (Con:80)

    Adam Pineault (Con: 79)

    2nd 2017 MIN

    To Minnesota

    Zack Kassian (CON: 86)

    Steve Eminger (Con: 81)

    3rd 2017 OTT

    4th 2017 OTT

Ottawa did this to add a shutdown defenseman after trading Plante earlier today, to de-age my d-line because I have no defensive prospects in Ottawa and I moved up too a higher spot into the next draft, given I traded my own 2nd round pick and have no 1st I thought that was a nice addition.

Kassian was the player Seb/Minnesota was interested in and as said above Eminger and many others on my d-line are aging so I tried to avoid a potential problem in the future.

  3. Another day, another outlandish Allan Walsh comment, calling Shanahan's system shameful while the disciplinary hearings are 'kangaroo courts'. This is in response to a two game suspension handed out to P-M Bouchard. I thought the suspension was a little harsh myself but if a two game suspension warrants that type of response, he's setting the rant bar much too high for himself. Heck, I'd be content without seeing another rant from him all season...but that would be asking too much for someone clearly starved for attention.

I saw that too... I am sorry, if you hit a guy in the face with your stick on a face off... there is no way that could be an accident unless you got amnesia and forgot how to hold a stick on the last play.

  4. I (Ottawa) wanted this too happen because I didn't like the players I had too play on my top line with Major.

Getting a young Glennie and a solid Zubov who still has a few years left really helps Ottawa become a competative offensive team.

I am working on a deal that will replace some of the defense I lost with Plante and the 2nd I am very willing too give up too get an immediate impact player like Glennie.

  5. Let me tell you why its not...

Carey Price was this close to getting injured on game one... PK is our current number one D (in any other top tier team he'd be third best D). There isnt a number 2 nor a number 3 D in our team. Gorges, Spacek Gill are top 6 (between 4 and 6)

Just like last year, I say dress 7 D and play them until they drop (constantly) no more experiments Martin keep them playing until they play to their potential whatever that is. But No...now we're going to make PK play over 25 min. In turn make him believe he is the one thing keeping this team together (NOT GOOD)

Price, if he gets injured ....then bye bye season.

Call in a Alex Henry who wont let anyone touch our goalie. Put Cole on the PP

Pierre is tied up 49 signings and thats it. so screw hamilton get the best D's out of there

    Other than that Im Optimisitc!

Where I said Edmonton is worst, would you rather have Theo Peckham and Tom Gilbert as your top pairing? PK beats them by a long shot. I believe Georges as a top 4 d-man in the league was established a while ago.

Montreal shouldn't bring up a fighter. Ever. It doesn't work. Did having George Laraque on our team ever stop Lucic or anyone else for that matter? no. Intimidators... well they are overrated at intimidating. They are useless in the new NHL. Most goons, including Henry for sure, couldn't catch most players too fight them! People will just draw penalties from them then they will get suspended a few games later.

Plus... With Price. If Nashville lost Rinne would they be done? If New York Rangers lost Lundquvist? Buffalo Miller? If Dallas Lehtonen (i think they are done with him anyways), What if Detroit had too rely on Conklin if Howard went down? Calgary with Kipper? Tampa needs Roloson to be in playoff form come playoff time, Columbus needs Rookie Mason back... Most teams would be finished if they lost their starting goalie. Exceptions like Boston, Vancouver, Washington or Philly, who have younger future starters as backups are not the norm.

  6. My bet would be Willsie, since Willsie played C for the Habs in preseason games, and Trotter was always a winger in preseason.

Hehas been almost exclusively a LW since he left the University of Denver.

He was at LW for almost all of his 2.5 years in Hamilton, though I don't know what he was doing in the AHL last year.

Maybe we'll get some clarification though.

I would go with Trotter, because by all accounts Willsie hasn't been able too win a faceoff too save his life

  7. 4-6 months for nash he had surgery in late september.

Basically the same surgery that eller and leblanc had at the end of last season.

Thats really bad timing for him, he improved a lot last season, I was hoping too see his development continue this year. We shall see.

  8. If it makes you feel any better, Masse has been the better of the two since going pro. In 29 career AHL games (the rest have been in the ECHL), Riendeau has 1 goal.

Yeah I looked buddy up and it doesn't look like we missed out on much right there.

  9. Henry played 3rd pairing minutes for the bulldogs at the end of last season.

He is so slow he makes Hal Gill look like a speedster.

He's a good leader for the AHL.... a good fighter down there.... but he's not an NHL defenceman.

I don't think there is anything in Hamilton that helps the Habs right now.

Team has to hope Mitera develops quickly, Callahan is better than expected, or St. Denis takes a huge step forward if they are looking to the farm for help.

The Hamilton D is very weak this year with the injury to Nash, and with Diaz making the Habs. Next year they will get Beaulieu, Tinordi, Nygren, and Pateryn though... so there is help on the way.

Exactly, Henry isn't an option for nhl call up, It'd sooner be Nash when he is back, Callahan or well... almost anyone else too be honest.

  10. - Tomas Vokoun isn't getting the opening night start for the Caps. His agent, Allan Walsh, predictably is going overboard with his public commentary. To use Walsh's comment for a moment, I'm not sure what the biggest slap in the face to Vokoun is: The fact he's not starting on opening night, or the fact the best deal Walsh could get him entailed a $4.8 million pay cut from last year's salary while the likes of Mike Smith, who cleared demotion and re-entry waivers, got more years and money than he did.

    Ouch... that is really harsh
