He's not working on the right.... I think he can though. He just needs the same amount of practice as he had early in the season when he looked lost on the smaller ice.
I hope he does. The guys on the left(gorges, kabs, gill) are too important to move or be benched. He's been much less physical on the side, must be a confidence issue. I think he could be a Kronwall type player if the team has the patience to develop him.
-
I think this team is going to be blown up shortly.
-
I'm really not looking forward to Monday's game against Boston. I don't like Campoli. Too many second, or even third rate puck movers on this team. I'd like to see this team move Weber and a prospect for a real stay at home defender. Budaj needs to play more. I hate to sound so negative, but this is by far my least favorite habs team since that awful 01 team, or the mid to late nineties teams.
-
Emelin is not working out on the right side. With Subban and Gorges on the same pairing, he'll have to wait for an injury or the presumed return of Andrei Markov. Too many ticky-tacky penalties...typical of a Chris Lee game, where he is the star of the game, not the players.
-
This move shows that JM and PG care little about the future of the Habs and are just looking to save their own skin. (Blaming the young D for all their woes, a vet d is their last chance) If things don't improve there will be a fire sale come trade dealine time. How about Subban for Penner? Moen for a 7th? Tinordi for Chris Kelly? Anything is possible with these clowns. This team is becoming a laughingstock. I watched Kaberle play a lot of games last year, since I live in Boston, and he's truly terrible. Double chin and all. How embarrasing/dumb.

I'm happy this is an early game, I've got a gig out of town tonite. Hopefully tonite I can focus on the job, instead of the bad powerplay, blown leads, JM, etc. Go Habs!
-
Wow, these guys were horrible yesterday. I'm happy I have a gig tonite, and can't watch this borderline-ahl shit show. The thing that gets me, more than anything else from a fans perspective, is how boring this team is. If it weren't for Emelin and Price, the entertainment value of the Habs right now would be the same as watching the New Jersey Devils during the Dead Puck era.
-
Stopped watching this game with six minutes to go in the second...the boys really looked shameful, especially on that bungled 4 min pp. Some thoughts- Pacioretty can't buy a goal right now-Apparently, since Gomez had a multiple point game, he deserves to play in all situations?? Look out Pleki-Through two periods Yannick Weber looked 4th line, or even Hamilton bound-Emelin and Diaz are holding down the fort as a decent second pairing-Emelin seems to be showing some offensive flair, I really hope he stays on and plays at least 60 games this year, he has a definite upside as a top 4 guy.
-
This Bruins winning streak doesn't scare me. Columbus, two games against the Islanders; the best team they've faced is New Jersey. They have to lose at some point, and tonite could very well be that night.
-
Look on the bright side-Carolina and the New York Islanders aren't exactly offensive dynamos. If there were two games in a row to pick from, these would be them. They'll be fine! The Islanders are 1-11. This is a good learning opportunity for Emelin, and hopefully St. Denis can hang, or we'll be back to five dmen very, very fast.
-
Agree would like to see Emelin get a god shake now.
Emelin's been shaky, but he deserves a chance. A chance being 7-10 games playing reasonable minutes. Why did we work so hard to get him here? Hopefully they'll put him with Markov. He needs some direction, last game he looked absolutely lost out there.
-
Who cares? I'd rather see them get a pp from sticking up for Subban than the myriad tripping/interference/holding penalties the get on a nightly basis.
-
Moen kicks ass!
-
Duh! That's an icing!
-
Raphael Diaz makes me sick. He's young, he's soft, he can't hit...those are his good points. I should get a discount on my Center Ice package to watch this schmo ply his third rate puck moving schtick.
-
Excited to watch tonites game...CentreIce package best decision i've made in while. Emelin is in, which should only sweeten the deal. I really hope he gets his chance to play with Markov, it would really help his confidence, and he deserves his shot.

GO HABS! Five beers deep and a four game winning streak!
-
I had to listen to Brick and Jack Edwards call the game. Gross. Biggest homers in the announcer's booth today. You can't blame the refs when your team only scores one goal. (The one in garbage time was a fluke, like their cup.) Keep in mind the complaining started ten minutes into the second period. Commandant, I could care less either if Subban dives. This team has no physical presence whatsoever, and not only did he draw two important power plays, a strategic dive may be the only thing he can do to protect himself. Keep in mind Boston has one of the biggest divers out there (Peverly) and in general, are a team full of pieces of shit. They have no moral ground to complain about anything. The endless whining and Jack Edwards speec about the hull of the Ruin's ship having a 100 foot gash was endlessly entertaining!
-
I hope Emelin plays. Move Spacek over/bench Diaz. That guy's a human turnover machine. They need size in games versus Boston, i'm tired of seeing this team bullied! Give Emelin a break, the guy was an assistant captain for Russia at the worlds, he's no joke. I see very little upside to having of Raphael Diaz/Weber/Spacek out there at once, they're all the same guy!
-
Travis Moen is one of my favourite players, but not on the first/second line. He doesn't have the skills but the guy's tired after every shift, and a good penalty killer.
-
Potential!!! Doesn't he see Cole at least has the potential to be better on the powerplay than Darche?!!?!?!
-
Make that seven days. All hail Diaz, the Swiss Briesbois!!
-
I feel bad for Cole...you don't sign a guy for 4.5 mil a year to backcheck, we have Moen, Darche, White etc for that role. Who does Martin want Cole to be, Tom Pyatt? I'm struggling at this point to understand why we signed Cole to big bucks to play eleven minutes. If we wanted a strong defensive forward with offensive upside we could have had Raffi Torres and 3.5 mil to play with. JM is pre-lockout, stand around, clutch and grab hockey. We're going to be in a tough situation, two games against B's and one against the Flyers. We could be looking at three blowouts five days from now.

Yikes! It's not the powerplay, its...its..EVERYTHING!

I think a major move is coming. Way too many defensemen in the pipeline, cap issues for next year, the team blows, all these are good reasons for a trade.
