  1. I heard the rest of the game on the radio. What in the blue hell was that, I just heard penalties after penalties and to make things worse I heard some dude did a superman like dive on Ivanans.
  2. Bah I'm heading off, later buddy let's hope they win. Going to try to listen to this one on the radio.
  3. this is the second time we post at the same time
  4. Man what's up with the penalties. Last thing they need is to lose against this crappy team.
  5. Man the Dogs are poudings those Rats offensively. TAKE THAT NEW JERSEY PROSPECTS!
  6. I think they want to get a deal done soon so they can focus on the draft and for teams like Boston to sign some players.
  7. *hits the big red abort button* Looks like this thread won't be re-appearing in a while.
  8. I don't think their hidding something. If there was a deal done Mario and Wayne would jump out of joy in the room with a bottle of champaign in their hands singing "We are the champions".
  9. Meeting is now over by the way. Start listening to the news to hear anything good.
  10. I just hope Washington doesn't draft him. They obviously played like crap on purpose last year and shouldn't deserve to get Crosby. I honestly wouldn't mind Pittsburgh drafting him. Mario playing with Crosby and Recchi on the same line would be wickedly insane. I don't blame the Pens if they played bad last season, Mario was injured and they don't have a super team. edit: and money for that matter. I hope the Pens find an investor. 11. I like the Northeast Division. It's the damn best division in the whole league. Each team in the division is good rivals with the other teams.
  12. Might sound stupid what I'm going to say but if there's a season they would have to figure out something for the draft. The last thing we need is teams to purposely lose a complete 30 game season to get their hands on Crosby. A lottery would be a good idea in my opinion.
  13. Fan590 radio. They found out the hotel where the press conference is being held, and then found out the time. The 6pm rumour has been on a few other less reliable sources as well, but I think we can trust Fan590 radio.... TSN/CBC/etc should pick up on the press conference time pretty soon and release articles. These meetings are too damn long. I'm starting to get the impression the last thing they talk about is a new CBA.
  14. Puck, where'd you hear this? I need some links or I'm going to lose my mind if I don't hear something soon about this meeting.
  15. My guess: Zednik - Koivu - Kovalev (If he's signed) Hossa/Dagenais - Ribeiro - Ryder Bulis - Bonk - Sundstrom Morgan/Ivanans/Someone from the Bulldogs - Begin - Ward Markov - Rivet Souray - Brisebois Bouillon - Dykhuis (Komisarek is injured or else it's his spot). Theodore Huet Hossa would play if Dagenais signed a deal that would keep him in Europe.
  16. Everytime someone says Emelin I will now have an embarrassing story attached to it. During the World Juniors in the gold medal game between Canada and Russia something happend to Emelin. I was watching the game at a local Cage aux Sports with a few friends. When Emelin got injured everyone was clapping and screaming so right as the clapping ended I got up and said "WTF DON'T CHEER HE'S A FREAKIN' HABS PROSPECT!" Of course I had no idea the clapping was going to end at that specific time so everyone just booed me.
  17. Yup, the NHLPA said they would never accept a salary cap.....with any linkage to revenues.
  18. I did some quick math and the NHL is supposed to have league revenues of 2 billion dollars or something like that. That would mean each team would have a cap of 35 million (well I rounded up). Looks like the Rangers are extremely screwed if that scenario ever occured.
  19. I still don't get how no one else besides Sportsnet is broadcating AHL games this season. I thought this was the year the AHL was supposed to get some big television coverage (this was the impression I was getting while watching TSN when the lockout began).
  20. Hey puck, mind explaining me what does the NHLPA mean when they say they won't accept a salary cap with linkage to revenu? [Edited on 2005/2/19 by Tony]
  21. I was watching RDS right now. This is what I heard and I hope I don't get anything wrong. They were saying about the possibility of a new deal being made but this new is being made by a group of players and agents supposebly. RDS got an email from Bill Daly stating they couldn't reach a CBA deal without anyone else than the NHLPA. Now during the show, they interviewed Ian Lapperiere on the phone and asking him for his opinion on what you think is going on and if he heard any news, Ian said he got several phone calls from player today asking what was going on so he decided to call Trent Klatt and he CONFIRMED that all the player representatives are in New York right now (where the meeting is supposebly being held). RIGHT AFTER he said that, RDS announced that they got a notice from the NHLPA denying any deal being made with the NHL. They didn't mention anything about a meeting. Ian was still on the phone and he himself was mind boggled with what the hell was going on. I wish someone else saw this so they can clarify what was said since I'm not 100% with what I just wrote. 22. - That's one horrible photoshopped picture.
  23. Can someone post what happens in the link? I don't got Real Player and don't plan on installing it.
