  1. I am just wondering if anyone has or knows where to find a checklist of every Canadiens hockey card?

    Hey C-Love,

Every one would be looooooooooooooooong list.

What I do have is one I have started on my own in Excel using mostly Beckett but it only covers from 1951-52 thru 1971-72 so far.

It is a labor of love and I work on it when I can as I am trying to amass every Habs card. I have to admit some of the 1960's and the 1970's list I have still needs some work as I download the complete list from Beckett and then attempt to delete the non-Habs palyers so when I get into the 70's it's a chore and takes a lot of time especially when you get into the more recent years when there are a bizillion sets to pick from. The 50's and 60's were easy since there was only Parkhurst till 1964.

But I'd be glad to share what I have. Maybe send me an email at ba47@hotmail.com and I'll send you the file.

PS. If you are also trying to collect every habs card, let me know what you are looking for a sI have many doubles and triples and maybe we can trade off.

  2. Brockville, Ontario

Brockville!!!! lived there too for a few years in the late 90's

BUT born and raised in Montreal ... Pte. Claire to be precise ... grew up on Danny Galavan through all the glory years.

Did 3 years in Brockville, then 5 in Calgary/Edmonton and now in beautiful Victoria. And yes thank god for RDS ... gives me my Habs rush although the time difference sucks ...

  3. Does anybody know if the Habs mangement (or the players) have rules on in between period interviews?

I was freaked that for the last 2 or 3 games CBC has only interviewed Carolina players between periods.

If it's a Habs rule then I'll shut up but if it isn't and is again our "lovely" CBC network I'd like to know.

  4. Perhaps they are and we just don't hear or see it but I cannot believe the owners, GM's and coaches aren't getting something done about the crap refereeing ... it's gone on all season. I was sure hoping these guys would get their shit together for the playoffs ... obvioulsy not.

Cherry praised Ward because he played ummmm let me think where was it ... oh ya ... IN CANADA ... and Huet, oh the guy from France

  5. HAAA That’s all I needed to hear now! That and Koivu is still not producing cause he isn’t scoring enough goals!

Leave those two guys alone they are beyond our comprehension! We are not worthy!.. Why start Analyzing the cons of a player with the moves and hands that he has… Better yet lets praise Ribs and Murray for skating to the Net Finally they understand Kovy’s game!

    Move on....NExt Topic!

Ok ok, I'm not trying to jinx anything and was just making an observation that he seemed to hang on to the puck too long and often it was being coughed it up ... NOT ALL THE TIME just more often than not lately.

I've got Bleu Blanc Rouge tatooed on my ass ... and have had for 40+ years guys, through good and bad ... was simply making an observation.

Not to mention the total impartiality on the parts of both Bob Cole and Harry Neal in their play by play. They make me sick ... CBC is supposed to be our nations network. Bad enough we have the (T)oronto (S)ports (N)etwork ... I usually watch the Habs on RDS but for the sake of others in my household who don't understand french, I am subjected to the CBC Lafs network once in a blue moon when the Habs play Toronto.

Oh, you're far from the only one, HABS721.

I think you mean 'bias' when talking about Cole and Neal, and you're absolutely right. Neal in particular was ridiculous in his dismissal of the Markov goal, and the penalty to Rivet. His opinions made Don Cherry's look reasonable, which isn't easy. And, I love the way he starts talking about the Leafs without mentioning them by name, on a national broadcast. "Well, they've played back to back games..." - it's only when he mentions Carolina that we realize he's referring to the Leafs (like there was any doubt). :nono:

Actually meant to say "lack of impartiality" ... but yep, bias would work too ...

  8. I was born and raised in Mtl ... although have since moved several times ... but was fortunate enough to have been a fan since the mid 50's ... ahh the good old days. I still have my scrapbook of clippings from the Mtl Gazette and the Montreal Star ... thats what we did as kids back then. Most recently found the clippings of Boom Boom scoring his 50th ... and to see him last week on TV brought back so many memories.

Through good years and bad years I've always bled Bleu Blanc Rouge ... Go Habs Go ... they are truly an exciting team to watch this year.
