I like the nickname for Dags, though it might be a tad graphic....

I think Ottawa would still dominate without Heatley.
and philly would still be really good too.
Rangers are pretty thin without Jagr though.

The future is bright in Habs land.

My calender is filling up.
I'll be colouring with Bulis_the_Habbie sometime this week, and I might be sorting socks with lazy26...
This is one of those weeks you wish you were part of the Habsworld League.

If I'm BG I look at the last game and think: "well, he kept Kost on the bench, too bad; I would have liked to see what he could do at this level. At least, Dags is going again and we won the game thank God. CJ did a good job with a short bench. Hopefully after the break we'll have everybody back except Kovy so I can get a better idea of what I need to do to improve the team ".
My tongue was planted firmly in cheek. That was pretty much my way of expressing displeasure with how Julien is treating the rooks.
Garth Murray is called up to warm the bench? Not even one shift? Pleks makes a rookie mistake BAM moved to 4th line.
He's driving me crazy.
I admire Gainey's patience. I would have blinked during that slump and would have shipped someone out. But he waited it out.
-
Good question, I've been wondering that myself.
-
I just wish Gainey and Julien were on the same page.
Gainey: "We're doing a youth movement, we've got some
great kids coming up"
Julien: "You betcha! So I'll just sit them every time they make a mistake, therefore hindering their development."
Gainey: *not really paying attention* "yeah yeah, sounds good, great, just great."
....that's how I envision it, anyway.

What was his nickname here?
Cement Hands?
Love to watch him play up until he shoots the puck.

Its about if a player is Usefull or Useless for the team and this is Time specific.. therefor some players are more close on the To get rid off or more on the Keep for good... the world is grey and unfortunately some of our guys too
I accept that there is a grey area and welcome intelligent arguments for or against a player being traded.
This topic is my plea to those who look at a player underachieving and saying "Get rid of him!" and then doing a complete 180 when that same player does well. "You can't get rid of him! He's doing so well!!!"
Personally, I want someone to have high trade value when they leave town, cause it usually means someone good is coming in. But that could just be me.

Hey, Habsworld is an informed place.
Now sit down for your english lesson! Today we'll be moving off Haikus and onto Iambic Pentameter...
-
If we're going to go with "deserved" lines then Bonk currently deserves 4th line center duty.

Yup HW is pretty fair and balanced. Just be careful what you say about the BQ/PQ.
Hehe lol, that's not right. Any view is accepted. I personaly like to read users with different views. It helps to strenghen our own view or to question it.
The only things HW Admins ask are respect and no strong language, especially when the subject is more sensitive. Finally, the only rule is common sense + fun attitude. :/)
I have been known to let loose occasional vulgarity. I mean, I realize that Dagenais isn't literally a "shitty player" (wouldn't that be a sight to see?) but really, that word just flows off my tongue quite nicely when I think of what he does on the ice.
So basically I guess I'm asking if I'm allowed to, every once in awhile, throw in a good curse word or two if I feel the situation calls for it.

Lol, yea I'm with you on this one. Never been a fan of these 2, never will.
I would like to point out that I only used Ribs and Dags as examples, but really, it applies to most of the team.
-
Ribs does badly = trade him!!! OMG! TRADE HIM RIGHT NOW BEFORE I KILL MYSELF!!
Ribs does well = Ribiero is the franchise! I would have man-sex with him if he would let me!
All I'm asking for is, please, either like Ribiero on the team or don't like him. Please stop changing your opinion on a game by game basis, it's making my head hurt.Same goes for Dags, Souray, Bonk, or anybody else on the team.
Yes, Dagenais got two goals last game. Good, great, wonderful! This doesn't stop the fact that he lost his spot to the rookies and he shouldn't be on the team (in my opinion.) I want him gone in exchange for a more complete player. If he scores more lately, great, keeping gaining more trade value buddy!
Ribs is playing like he should be. Good, great, wonderful!
If we can get a solid D man for him or a forward that shows some consistency, I'd part with him in a heartbeat.
I don't mind people changing their mind, but this Jekyll and Hyde mentality is really starting to bother me. So really, this is just a friendly reminder that if you want someone traded, you're gonna want them to do well so we can get equal in return. Trading a shitty player for someone golden is just not gonna happen.

Kost and Murray didnt play. Dags scored two goals and the team won. Mission accomplished.
Would anyone be happy if those two had played and made a rookie mistake that cost us the game. A prudent move by CJ.
Would I have been happy? No.
But I recognize the need to give rookies playing time. You don't learn much by sitting on the bench.

well yes, that is a dream situation.
might as well make it a wet dream situation though: Dags for Forsberg.
