  1. To Columbus:

    Mikhail Grabovsky 82-65-74 79Con

    To Boston:

    Jack Reed 73-72-74 78Con

Reed's a good guy to have as a 4th line centre. I love his FO stat and his SH and speed will ensure that he will be able to carry the puck out of the zone. He's a low risk pick up.

  2. Fixing a mistake that was made way back in year one of HWL Joe Thornton s coming home.

(I'm at work now so the stats will have to wait till later tonight)

    To Boston;

    Joe Thornton

    To Vancover:

    Mike Frolik

    Boston's 1st 2011

After my 3 picks in the first round I feel I have some prospect depth to make a trade like this. Joe will give me the superstar up front to build around after the Heatly talk got into crazy territory. He isn't young, but neither is he old, he will help with the rebuild. He will also help in the present as he is a definate upgrade on Frolik.

    Boston accepts.

  3. You were desperate to get #24. I made the trade up and here comes Maca pleading with me to trade it. I can't imagine how much you were bugging picks 23,22,21,20,19,18,17. I wanted to move up earlier to pick up Pacioretty so I was trying to strike a deal with TB and he said if my guy is gone I will do it. I joked then that we are probably going after the same guy. And then who does TB pick.

Oh he really wanted 19 and 20!

  4. you can Rob (or is it Mike... my head hurts!)

Get on YIM... get a hold of me... leave playerscout closed .... and let's make some trades. :D

ha ha.....it only works if everyone is on board. That was one of the problems early on in the league. Half was using Player Scout and half wasn't.

    And i is Rob. ^_^

  5. Yeah, and looking back, the Sakic deal was a steal for me also. I thought Malhotra was a potential stud defensive player, and Wharton a top pairing defenseman. Ah, the days before PlayerScout. . .

The game looses alot of its mystique with Player Scout. If there was a way to play the game only using in-game knowledge without looking at the players file I would be into that.

  6. To me you draft BPA, and that was Kane, I also wanted offence so I really would have gone with Kane. Andrew felt his team needed more hitting at the centre position so he made the choice to draft for need, I hope it works for him.

It's not like he drafted a guy who should have been out of the top 5. He is a legitimate draft choice, maybe not 1st OA, but in that range for sure.

  7. I didn't want Kudelka all the much anymore, and was actively shopping him. I am more than happy with the return of Lafortune. Tarnstrom is there to cover the loss of the offensive d-man and Fransson is a good guy for the farm.
