  1. I squeaked into the playoffs in 7th place. I would hardly they were dominant. The team is full of prospects I acquired throughout the year that is one reason they are winning now. Thanks for paying attention, lol

  2. Rangers confirm.

Sorry to the other guys who made offers. I didn't want to trade this pick but this trade fills 3 holes in my team without giving up any of my (already drafted) prospects. The fans in New York are fickle and want to win sooner rather than later and this brings me closer to the ultimate goal.

Thanks Colin for your patience in the negotiations.

  3. Some guys that are expendable are:

    C Mike Nylander, 32, 2.9 mill 79-74-76

    C Andrei Nikolishin 32 2mill 73-75-75

    R/L Denis Shvidki 24 800k 69-60-69

    R/L Jan Hlavac 28 1.6mill 73-68-71

    D Jim Fahey 25 450k 59-68-67

    G Dan Blackburn 21 1.13mill 73-71-72

One of my defensive d-men (Kasparitis, Witt , Gauthier)

most other prospects not listed below.

    These players are untouchable.

    G Lundqvist

    D Tyutin

    D Belle

    D Rogers

    F Korpikoski

These guys are hard to get:

    F Grabovsky

    F Ribeiro

    F Boyes

    F Lundmark

    F Murray

    F Nigel Dawes

    D Kondratiev

  4. To Ottawa

    D Thomas Pock 23 yrs 470K 66-74-71

    NYR 4th round pick (2006)

    To New York

    D Milan Jurcina 21 700k 60-70-69

    R Mike Johnson 30 1.9 mill 77-74-76

Jurcina is very similar to Pock and the Rangers have many D for Jurcina to compete with for a couple spots next year. I believe he is ready for the NHL. Johnson helps fill out one of the holes on my wings.

  5. Not sure if this was already metioned but according to the CSB rankings in EHM. Players that were not eligible in the NHL draft this year (Kessel, Mueller, Frolik etc) are listed. Can they be drafted in this years (2005) EHM draft?

    Dan Blackburn

    extras

    D - Frogren, Lampman, Jonsson

I feel really sorry for the Bulldogs.

  7. If we follow the standings ( 8 from each conference based on NHL teams) then the first round should go like this.

    Eastern

    (1) Lowell (CAR) vs. (8) Chicago (ATL)

    (2) Hamilton (MTL) vs. (7) Hartford (NYR)

    (3) Albany (NJ) vs. (6) Providence (BOS)

    (4) Wilkes-Barrie (PIT) vs. (5) Sprinfield (TB)

    Western

    (1) Norfolk (CHI) vs. (8) Cleveland (SJ)

    (2) Utah (PHO) vs. (7) Manitoba (VAN)

    (3) Milwaukee (NSH) vs. (6) Edmonton (EDM)

    (4) Houston (MIN) vs. (5) Cinncinati (ANA)

  8. I agree the first round should be live. After that then you can a couple rounds a day.

I see one problem with submitting a list of pre-ranked players. If a GM drafts a player based on position (for example a goaltender) then they may want to void all the other pre-ranked goalies they had listed. Otherwise a pre-ranked list may get a team players they had ranked higher but do not assess their overall needs. Clear as mud?

  9. Lost of talent 25 or under. Here are a list of guys that should play full time in the NHL.

    Henrik Lundqvist

    Fedor Tyutin

    Mike Ribiero

    Brad Boyes

    Jamie Lundmark

    Thomas Pock

    Mikhail Grabovsky

    Andy Rogers

    Shawn Belle

    Nigel Dawes

    Maxim Kondratiev

    Rory Rawlyk

    Garth Murray

    Denis Shvidki

    Jim Fahey

    Martin Samuelsson

    Ivan Baranka

    Lauri Korpikoski

    Jarkko Immonen

    Bruce Graham

    Dan Blackburn

plus the 1st and second rd picks this spring.

  10. To Columbus

    D Brent Sopel 28yrs 71-76-73 1.2mill

    To New York

    D Brendan Witt 30yrs 41-83-69 1.2 mill

    L Jody Shelley 29yrs 39-72-63 700k

Rangers make this deal to add solid d-man that helps mentor the younger defensemen. Sopel was expendable since I have many offensive d-men in the system that will take his place. Shelley gives me a tough guy (goon) to add to the 4th line.

  11. To Montreal

    C Jason Arnott 30yrs 81-81-79 3.85 mill.

    G Al Montoya 20yrs 58-56-61 800k

    To New York

    C Mike Ribeiro 25yrs 79-67-78 1.6 mill

    L Mikhail Grabovsky 21yrs 76-63-70 90k

    D Andy Rogers 18yrs 31-51-55 100k

New York makes this deal to bolster their offence and acquire another future big defender. Montoya was expendable due to the depth in goal and while I hate letting Arnott go I feel I got a good return while saving even more money.
