you obviously havn't seen Dunham stats this year! besides he has been on waivers 3 times so nobody else felt he was worth a position on their NHL team....hence he gets demoted. All my other goalies... I have played 4 others outperformed him.

  4. he seems to have alot of inside knowledge...could it be ning reincarnated? Yes Vrbata and Williams went back to Carolina...Williams will go when healthy.

If anyone had/has issues with this they should have brought them up during the trade approval.

  5. Rangers confirm.

Belle adds to a very strong future core of d-men in New York and since they are already strong in goaltending, Turco was expendable and Boucher will help hold the fort until Lundqvist is ready. Now the Rangers will focus on developing their forward positions and may use goalie and defensive prospects to help get there. hint, hint This also frees up more cap room for possible free agent acquisitions in the off-season.

Thanks to Nucksfan for the negotiations.

  6. I have to agree with bruinsgm. I personally like Jessiman more but everyone keeps telling me Lundquist is the better player. I don't access the cheat sheets so I can't really say.

I am sure Hannes will weigh in on this but to be clear, this was not my idea. Ning did soak some teams of their prospects including myself, I was new and in desperate need of a starting line-up. I will let the commishes decide on this one.

  7. To Dallas

    Tom Poti D 27yrs 1.4 mill 4 yrs 72-86-80

    Kevin Weekes G 29yrs 1.375 mill 1yr 78-78-77

    Jeff Halpern C/R 28yrs 1.6225mill 1yr 73-77-75

NYR 4th round pick in 2005

    To New York

    Marty Turco G 29yrs 4.15mill 2yrs 82-83-83

    Jason Arnott C/R 30yrs 3.85 mill 1yr 79-81-78

Rangers are very sad to see Poti leave but are hopeful Turco will regain his former self and rebound from an awful season. Arnott will help fill the void left by Holik.

  8. Rangers confirm.

Rangers are happy to free up Holik's salary while adding a little more depth to the wings. Rangers wish the same luck Jagr found in Boston.

FYI the salary breakdown is as follows.

    Holik 8.85 mill 3years

    Stumpel 2.5 mill 4 years

    Shvidki 800k 2 years

  9. just an opinion; but I believe that we should stick with the original rosters that EHM provides. The whole point of the EHM game is that some players (in real life) or grossly overrated before making the NHL and some grossly underrated....just like the game. Rather than trying to tinker with all the players and trying to simulate real life (which is impossible) just let the game decide who plays well and who doesn't.

For example I believe Blackburn was de-valued before I began mananaging him as he is only 71 overall. Secondly if you go by what real-life scouts do (i.e. hockey's future) you will see that some prospects are very different than from the game. I picked up Samualsson and Jonsson as part of the Boston trade, both rated highly in real life but are average AHL players in the game. Another example is Rene Bourque. He is tearing it up in EHM but is rated Chicagos's 9th best prospect in real life...should he be downgraded?

If players are changed for the better or worse by the commishes because the potential in real-life doesn't reflect what the game says then you will continually have a hard time keeping up....subsequently some teams will have players improved more so than other teams and actually makes the league less fair.

While I understand that the commishes want to prevent teams from GM's working together to botch the league, but basing trades on what you think players may or may not do in real-life totally undermines the game...because, frankly it is just a game and so what if players don't perform as expected...they don't in real life either.

P.S. IMO Auld isn't even a great back-up let alone a future star.
