    I am looking for:

    Top line players (all positions)

    Prospects

    Star goaltender

  2. lets leave the decision to the guys that have to do all the work. I can probably speak for evryone that we are truly grateful of all your guys work...I know I can hardly find the time do my lines let alone run the league.

  3. to clarify on the Nedved thingy. I was 2 million over (not 5-10...I was never that far over in fact I was under the cap when I started) and once I reworked some contracts I am 2 million under. I could easily pick up a 4 million dollar player and rework a couple more contracts and still be under the cap. That's why I am sketchy about this cap issue.

Anyways, I am fine with the trade too but why place him on waivers and then start taking bids for him when you realize he is wanted by more than one team is definitely odd. Would it be ok if I place a player in the general HWL posts as being auctioned off and if nobody wants him then I keep him?

  4. I don't understand these darn rules. I have heard both that teams can go over the cap as long as they are under the cap at the end of the season and vice-versa...I have seen many trades denied because it would have put them over the cap (I could have claimed Nedved in the waiver draft but it would have put me over)

secondly, I would much rather auction off my potential waiver guys in hopes of at least getting a crappy return from someone instead of getting nothing...which is why teams are usually wary of placing players on waivers. Just becaseu multiple players want to claim a guy off waivers doesn't mean the team can start weighing out trade offers for the guy...he should have placed him on the trade block.

    Thats my 2 cents.

  5. TSN to show NHL Draft Lottery

    TSN.ca Staff

    7/19/2005 7:04:52 PM

The results of the NHL's entry draft lottery, and who gets the No. 1 overall pick, will be carried exclusively on The Sports Network in a special half-hour show on Friday at 4 p.m. (EST).

TSN, which is the rightsholder for the 2005 NHL entry draft in Ottawa on July 30, will carry the lottery event live from New York, where the NHL board of governors will be meeting to ratify the new collective bargaining agreement, approve rule changes for the 2005-06 season and conduct the lottery to determine the order of selection for the entire draft.

The big prize, of course, is talented youngster Sidney Crosby of the Rimouski Oceanic, whose scoring exploits have made him the clear No. 1 choice and a potential franchise player.

Every team in the NHL has a shot at winning that first overall pick in a slightly weighted lottery.

    Related Info

Four teams (Buffalo, Columbus, the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh) have three balls in the lottery. Ten teams (Anaheim, Atlanta, Calgary, Carolina, Chicago, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Nashville, Phoenix) have two balls in the drum. The remaining 16 teams (Boston, Colorado, Dallas, Detroit, Florida, Montreal, New Jersy, NY Islanders, Ottawa, Philadelphia, St. Louis, San Jose, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, Washington) have one.

The team that gets the first pick overall won't pick again until 60th overall. The team that gets the 30th pick, at the end of the first round, gets the first pick (31st overall) in the second round in a "snake" draft system.

The anticipation of who'll pick first overall, and win the right to draft Crosby, is higher than it has ever been in NHL history.

  6. This team Russia post is dedicated to FanPuck! I will never be able to reclaim the lost 1/2 hour of my life it took to re-write the home team names of my non-drafted players. lol :nono:

  7. Crap, I clicked on "edit" instead "quote" and your post was deleted. Sorry :wall:

What I wanted to know is if Komachev (STL), who doesn't exist, was supposed to be Kosmachev from the Bluejackets, and I was allowing him to go if invited.

  9. That is ok with Jagr. The Rangers organization publicly wish him all the best. Privately, he was hated by the coach and several players on the team. Since his departure the Rangers have only lost twice in 10 games. Boyes is coming on strong with 4 goals this week and will replace Jags on the 1st line soon. Reports suggest that Kasparaitus and Gauthier will be knee hunting on the next time they play the Bruins, lol

  10. Once again these two teams make a multi-player awap

    To Boston

    R Jaromir Jagr 32 yrs 96-70-85 $8 million

    To Rangers

    L Freddy Modin 30 yrs 74-71-74 $2.9 million

    D Brent Sopel 27yrs 70-73-72 $2.1 million

    L Martin Samuelsson 22yrs 62-55-63 $210, 000

    D Lars Jonsson 22 yrs 31-35-49 $180,000

    R Ivan Huml 23 yrs 63-54-64 $157,500

    C Nate Thompson 20yrs 41-31-46 $295, 000

    New York Rangers confirm

  11. no surprise here, it is official. the Rangers completely suck! It is a good thing I hate the team in real life or I would have issues. Make it known that my entire team is available as I am in gutting mode.
