    You have to live here to understand I think.

    I was born an raised here and I used to watch in the 80s as Montreal got 100 points, the Leafs got 56 points sneak into the playoffs in the Norris division and upset the Hawks or Stars and have the Leaf fans tell me the Leafs are better because the Habs lost their Second Round series in 6 games, not 7 like the Leafs.

    Then the 90's and not the Roy cup, or the 10 OT Cup it is the Stanley Cup where the Leafs would have easily defeated the Habs if Bettman had not told Fraser to fix the Series. Nevermind the fact that Montreal won the Cup in 1 less game than the Leafs played the whole playoffs.

    Then the dark days of Reggie Houle where for the first time in my life the Habs did not have a better record than the Leafs and having to listen to Leafs rule, you guys suck talk for years.

    Then I had to turn to how many Cups have you seen...and then I would get....you always talk about the past. So then last year when I had the chance to laugh at them for getting smoked back to back and eliminated from the playoffs the first thing out of their mouths was we had a better record than you in the last 5 years. So I would say...why are you talking about the past....and their well thought out response is......I hate habs fans. You suck, your team sucks.

    There is no outsmarting a Leaf fan. A pet rock can do that. The better your comeback....the louder their GO LEAFS GO chant becomes. That is what it is like in the center of the idiots!!

    i prefer to see it as being in the center of people i have fun with... much more positive and healthy...

    i couldn't see myself being in my late 50's when the beatles, rolling stones, jimmy hendrix, moody blues and especially the jefferson airplane who would sing about 'our biggest sin' was being "young"...

    Montréal sure likes to make things needlesly complicated.. this game should be in the bag by now

    nothing to do with montreal, kiddo...

    simply the fact that toivonen is melting all the finnish snows with his play... he's doing really well!

    our guys have had a huge number of close calls but either toivonen's there or it doesn't quite make it's way in...

    the important thing is to keep on pushing (best defense...) and protect halak like nuts...

    That is definitely the truth if you are one of those unfortunate non Leaf fans living in this corner of the narrow minded hockey universe... :puke:

    No matter how sweet a victory will taste, if it came down to the simple fact that the bitter taste and suffering that a Laff victory will bring far outweighs what we'll have to endure here in Leaf Nation central, for at least one series(or even if they just happen to be out already and then put the Habs out as well :( )

    yes, if the leafs win, pretty well EVERYBODY else that i know who's a hockey fan will be sure to talk to me about some related issue... likely VERY DIRECTLY related... :lool: :lool: :lool: :lool: :lool:

    You also need to be able to score. The Canucks are one of the lowest scoring teams in the West and I guarantee that that will be their downfall. A team like the Ducks will destroy them.

    As to the Oilers comparison, I would say they're probably more like the Flames the year before the lock-out, but I don't think they'll go as far because in my opinion, they're not gritty enough.

    as homerish as this sounds, i hope all canadian teams go really far and even have both finalists from north of the border...

    I told you guys : The Shane Doan incident with a french lineman just before Olympics in Turin didn't pass unnoticed...

    Many of you said : I'd like Doan to play with the :hlogo: no one remember or care about this incident.

    But don't forget, we live in the only french area of the whole America, many people still boooing Prospal for having called Brisebois a frog about... 5 years ago or something.
