I was wondering if it would be possible to delete a NTC on a contrat I haven't signed myself.
Markus Naslund would be on my trade block immediatly, but he has a NTC that I didn't give myself. What's the position of the commish on this issue ?

Well, not the week I had hope for ...
VAN 4 - MIN 6 :: I really couldn't find a way to beat consistently Minny's 3 trap lines system. Still gave a good opposition, dominated 7 to 2 on the PP, dominated on the shots 32 to 24. But like alex said, 3 SH goals for Minny (one in an empty net by the way). Leclaire is starting to hurt me.
VAN 3 - CBS 5 :: I really needed a win at home vs CBS, but couldn't really cut it. Another bad game for Leclaire, I'm really starting to miss Toivonen.
PHO 3 - VAN 5 :: Big win on the road, maybe this will start a streak for me. Big game for Brad Richards with 4 pts and finally a decent game from Leclaire.
VAN 4 - BUF 2 :: Easy win against an average team at home. Almost put Brathwaite in net for that one, but I need Leclaire to carry me to the playoffs. Another good game from Richards and Naslund with 3 points each. Big 3 points night for Sami Salo also. Another decent game for Leclaire.
It will hard to catch a playoff spot and the Canucks might be in selling mode in the weeks leadin to the trade deadline.
Player of the Sim : Brad Richards with 8 pts in 4 games.
Next sim will be even harder with 3 roadies in CBS, BOS & TOR.

Personnaly, I've never seen R&G having success ... but I saw lots of time where D&C got the job done.
R&G is maybe ok if you have Thornton in there ... but in my other league, it's only usefull for tanking !
For the trap, it only works if you have the players to play it ... Minny does for sure and it works wonderfully, especially on the Road where defense is a better strategy. Thrust me I know, I've been simming my next game vs Minny and I can't seem to find a way to win.
The only strategy that works really well on the Trap is H&G, but I can't use that for 2 reasons. First, I don't have the players to do it. Second, its limited by the rules so I can only go with 1 line against 3 or 4 for Minny.

Well, I kinda agree with limiting it ... in the QcFL we have the limit.
The problem is that the best tactic to play against the trap is the Hit & Grind. This one is limited.
But I would probably be the first to roll 3 or 4 lines of Trap if my team wasn't a black hole defensively !

BERTUZZI??!!?!?!
You have got to be kidding me! Bert basically never plays with them. If you think the Sedins are pushovers, you don't know anything about them then or the Nucks. They both are very strong and are great down low in the corners. Very hard to knock off the puck. I know a lot of Avs fans who agree with me here. They're very underrated.

The more I read your comments on my trades, the more I like them !
I'm having a good first week in the HWL ... I don't know if it will be enough to get back into the playoffs, but you won't be able to say that I haven't tried !
Oh and for the Record ... The Sedins are Gay !
I don't care what they did in the last playoffs, they are nothing without Bertuzzi to propect them ... they sleep on the top bunk with Bert at the bottom.
I would trade any of them for a bag of pucks with muscles !

Well obviously a big move ... not totally sure about that one as I don't know the impact it will have on my powerplay. But Richards is a real first C who can play on both side of the ice, plus he's younger than Hejduk. Egener is my kind of defensemen, you saw it with the Orpik move. Plus he's juste 21.

An ok first week for the new Canucks GM.
After completing two big trades, the Canucks played for .500 this week. The New GM started by acquiring Alexander Svitov & Pascal Leclaire from Columbus and then went to Pittsburgh to get a big defenseman in Brooks Orpik. Rumors are still going strong in Vancoucer as Hejduk, Gonchar & Sedin are believe on the block.
MIN 5 - VAN 2 :: Hard first game against the 2nd team in the West. Rough day for the new second line who was minus 2.
VAN 4 - ANA 4 :: Ok second game against the 3rd team in the West. The Canucks got outshot at home but still got a point in part because of Gaborik and Hejduk which had two goals a piece.
VAN 5 - STL 4 :: An ok win there against the lowly Blues. This one shouldn't have been close, but Leclaire gave 4 goals on 18 shots ! The new guy Svitov saves the day with 3 goals !
Still 9 pts out of the 8th spot in the West ... still looking to move Hejduk & Gonchar.

Leclaire or Toivonen ... not a big difference. The importance is the team in front of them. I needed Svitov.

Svitov will give me what Sedin couldn't. I had to give a better Goalie in the trade, but I save some cash and Leclaire will be just fine.
I'd like to know if the trade will be done in EHM before the sim ... so I can do my lines, thanks.

I know, I know, Eklund is crap but still makes me wonder. After the game Yesterday, Bob could want to move him, it can't be worst with Huet as a 1st goalie right now. Here is the rumor :

Just Off the Phone....The Canadiens are heavy discussions with the Lightning and have attempted to get Jose Theodore and more for Brad Richards...Talks are going on and we will discuss more as the night progresses....The Rumor is that certain key Lightning players are pushing hard to get Jose down there. Stay tuned.
I, for one think that a package of Kubina & Richards for Theodore and Ribeiro / Zednik / Whoever would be a big plus for MTL. They can always try to find another veteran netminder later on. It can't be worst than Theo right now. As for Theo Value, I don't think it,s that bad, most GMs know that he just needs a change of scenery.

Not sure we can count on that ... Eklund is reporting a (e4) rumor that has Roloson & Dupuis going out of Minny, unless the Wild gets a number one goalie in return, they will try to resign Manny.
If they are stock with both Roloson & Fernandez, I would bet they'd resign Manny first.
