Since when do we want Lecavalier? A player who has never produced a point per game season in his career on an offensive-minded team. Koivu averages more points per game than this guy, is cheaper, and is a leader. Vinny is a whiner... we all know that.Wow

Lecavalier can be a dominating player (we saw it in the World Championship last year), he's big, he plays both ways and is a guy from Montreal !

The only problem I have with this rumor, is that everything Bob do seems to be a surprise. We never hear anything in the news and then boom he hits us. Theo & Kovalev were like that.
I'di give Aebisher, Ribeiro and 1 young player or our 1st rounder but not more than that.
And I would swallow a bad contract if it's not too long.

Well I would never give away Aebisher, Ribeiro, Higgins & a 1st pick.
Lecavalier is good and would be great for MTL, but that's too much for one guy. Unless Kubina could be added to the package.

Spector's Note: Don't rule out Montreal's David Aebischer, who probably won't be returning with the Canadiens next season. Already there are some rumours suggesting the Habs and Bolts might be in talks with Aebischer as the centerpiece of a potential deal.Also a guy on Spector's Website is reporting he read this in the Devoir :

Since I can't stand the lost of Brad Richards for the season, I've decided to go in therapy for the next couple of days. My doctors told me that the only thing that could bring me back the way I was would be a trade of a RW or C for my first round pick.
Seriously, I'm moving on June 10th and I'll have plenty to do in the coming days ... I'll still come by, but not sure how often.

Don't worry about suspension, Big Georges has already taken care of Spiller. Not sure Spiller can play anyways after that.

Ribeiro is a excellent throw in in a trade for Vinny. He can put up points on the board. Plus, with St-Louis you have the start of a Timbits line ! LOL
And don't forget Feaster is the guy who just gave 7.8 millions to Brad Richards ... he's looking more and more like Mike Milbury. Which is good news for BG, if he's really targeting Vinny.
