Well the Näslund situation will be tricky ... he hasn't accepted yet.
But my second offer was 7.5 for 2 years and a PO with 4.1 millions in bonuses.

Vancouver, BC (Vancouver Sun) - Well the Naslund sweepstake seems to be cooling off. Other GMs are finding out, that the price to pay for the Captain is pretty high. "We're looking for a young Winger that can step in right away and play on our first line," said Theberge43 on the phone, "after that we want a couple of good prospects or picks and maybe a salary throw in to make the trade fair for the other team. But right now, we don't have anything interesting on the table."

Vancouver, BC (Vancouver Sun) - After reports came out last week on a possible Markus Naslund trade, the rumors are swirling again that the Captain will accept an 7.5 millions a year extension that will be without a No-Trade clause. No word yet on where Naslund could end up or on who made an offer to GM Theberge43. When asked about the possibility of moving the swedish winger this is what the GM had to say : "To move arguably the best scorer in the HWL, you need good players in return. Right now we haven't got an offer we like. Markus isn't that old and can still put up 4 or 5 seasons of 100+ pts. If offers don't get better, he will do that in Vancouver and we'll be real proud about it !"
There you have it folks, Markus Naslund is for sale, but not on sale !

5. Line Strategies
In order to keep the league moving and scoring and not fall into the late-90's NHL, we're going to add a small addendum to the strategies to try and open things up a little more.
a. No more than one line, maximum 60 seconds, on Hit and Grind.
b. Minimum of 60 seconds which CANNOT be Hit and Grind or Neutral Zone Trap - does not have to be one line.
Maybe it's my english ... but I don't get point b at all ....

It all depends on what Huet will be asking ... if it's over 3.0, I say let him walk and keep Aebisher.
If we can sign Huet for 2-3 years at around 2.0, you have to do it. He's perfect with Danis and by the time we have to resign him or not, we'll know if Price is the real deal or not.
If you sign Huet, you have to trade Aebisher ... somebody will want him for sure. In BG we have to trust ...

Seriously, I won't cast my votes, because I don't know enough about the HWL yet ... The only thing I know is that you guys are chickening out of paying the price for Naslund !

He scored 30 goals so he must be just as good as any other 30 goal scorer ...
No and that's exactly my point ... exemple : Justin Williams & Patrice Bergeron each scored 31 goals this season. Tell me, with a straight face, that Micheal Ryder is as good as these 2 guys. Hell ... Sakic & Thornton scored 32 goals ! Ryder can't be as good as Joe !
I'm not saying we should absolutly trade him (and it's not François Gagnon's point either) but the guy isn't that good even if he puts up good offensive stats.
Maybe another GM, blinded as we are by the 30 goals, could overpay for Ryder and it could be good for the Habs.

Thats Francois Gagnons opinion, that doesn't make it right. "The worst 30 goal scorer" what a stupid statement.
Well I kinda agree with him ... I'd have to make the exercise, but if we list all the 30 goals scorer in the NHL, where would Ryder rank ?
