are you sure? I was looking at the Habs schedule on espn.com (probably not the best source for the habs sched) and it says some games won't be televised.

Yeah, you have to clear waivers when you're sent down, and then again when you're brought back up. But if hes pick up off waivers on the way back up we would have to pay half his salary.
Not sure if this is a new rule or not.

word down here is he got an offer for 1.5 to play in sweden again this year, so I can't see him signing with mtl for less than 1 mil

all the same, the date for qualifying offers is sunday.

Sun. July 31: Deadline to extend qualifying offers to RFA's.
Mon. August 1: UFA signing period begins.
