  1. Should Koivu rest tomorrow night if he wants to? Absolutely yes!

He has a new contract as he deserves. Was been brilliant in the Olympics and has been a shining example as a captain of the Habs for last few years.

This guy has passion and heart for the sport he loves and needs the time to get himself right after giving it all to win a gold. Shame the Canadian team didn't have that heart.

As for that bum Riberio. He should get traded over to the English Football Premier League with all the other overpaid wingeing prats that have long forgotton what it means to play sport for a living.

Ask any player who played against Captain K at the Olympics whether he is a good leader. Get rid of the bad influences in Montreal and watch the team thrive.

  2. What about for some short term help.......Eric Weinrich!

Really solid for the Habs when he was here before and but for a dumb trade (anyone remember Patrick Reverse) would still be knocking around.

He may get traded because he is a UFA at teh end of the season. Surely he is worth a draft pick for some short term help. Plus he would provide some much needed leadership on the blue line.

  3. As someone who subscribes to NASN over in the UK, I can say that their coverage is pretty good. But like all recipients of live feeds, they are very much dependent on what the station they are dealing with are showing.

We get HNC, but the schedule is rammed full of Leafs games as in the Canada which sucks bad.

As for fans over here, well I hae a number of friends from Montreal who work over here and I intend to have a few HNC parties once they finally show the Habs.

If you are ever in London on a Sunday night though, be sure to go to the Maple Leaf pub in convent garden where they show the previous nights HNC recording as live.

Habs live strong in the UK!

  4. Evening All,

First post and thought I would send all the luck to the team from the Habs fans here in the UK. No chance to see tonights game, as NASN over here is showing Crosby's debut. But should be able to see them this weekend.

I'd say tonight's score will be 4-3 Habs, Bonk with the winner deep in the third. I will also go for 16 PPs if anyone is running a pool.
