  1. GO Saku GO GO Habs GO Let's see a better effort in this one.
  2. This summer I believe both Ryder (difficult in negotiations) and Samsonov (in the final year of his deal) will be tradeable. Samsonov maybe not for the best return. I think a Briere or Gomez or Smyth is essential preferably one of the centers to address our major weakness. Sourray and Markov will be asking for more than 4 million each period. I don't know where you heard that but Sourray will probably be asking closer to 5.5M. Markov publicly said he wants to stay he could be more around 4.5. I see Markov re-sigining and teh Habs going after another top 4 Dmen through UFA along with Briere or Gomez with Plex sliding to number 3 and Lapierre 4 on the depth chart.
  3. Anyone else notice how easily Samsonov is forgotten? I was thinking of optimal lines after last game and didn't even consider him. There isn't anywhere for him to fit. I found it kind of funny maybe others won't agree.
  4. Buffalo is up 5 - 1 and that's without their hoards of injuries and Briere not playing because of the flu. Are you kidding me?
  5. Am I wrong to already be looking at who is UFA this summer. I wish Gainey was an edgy GM then I would look at some RFAs too and see who we can poach.
  6. When they get slaughtered for the rest of the year, it'll be an easy decision for them. THey'll probably pay him more than he wanted now.
  7. Even after this I still give Halak the start next game. He's played well in the third with no support and the only goal that was his fault hit off the knob of his stick and went in...a complete fluke.
  8. Nice to see Carbonneau is a magician with his line changes reminds of Maurice last night. Like twins Perezhogin to the third and Kostytsin to the second. Let me guess either Garth Murray or Gui are now on the top line....Shocking
  9. I don't know if I want him to be re-signed. The worst part about this entire situation is it is because Gainey's policy to not discuss contract extensions during the season. Had he not had such a policy he could have done the same thing as Edmonton, tried to negotiate an extension and if you cannot then trade him. Since he refuses to do so we don't even know if Sourray would re-sign or not and we don't even know around how much he would want. That is the MOST frustrating part to me. It's all If this and If that and it didn't have to be.
  10. I usually try and defend them but......I can do so no longer. They are both bad tonight period. I welcome the opportunity to see Josh Gorges next game. And the goaltending??? I can't believe that Gainey did nothing to address that after Abby's play yesterday. I don't expect too much from Halak especially considering the team is doing nothing in front of him tonight. As for the lack of trading Sourray, I was back and forth on whether to deal him or not for the last month but I came to one conclusion that I was happy with, it was simply as follows: If you are going to keep him, make a couple of other moves (even if nothing huge, although smyth would've been nice) and supplement parts of the team to go for the playoffs. If you are going to do nothing and not add anything except a waiver goalie might as well deal him and cash in on the returns of the sellers market. To do neither is extremely frustrating. I'd much rather get Briere for 6M then to re-sign Sourray for that. At this point the only thing i can look forward to is getting a Briere, Smyth or a player of that ilk who has talent and work ethic and leadership as a UFA.
  11. Let me predict that this team continues to sleepwalk through the 3rd period on to a wonderfully brutal slaughter and shutout at the hands of Lundqvist and the Rangers. Good job boys, good job.
  12. And a penalty against the Habs this is almost worse than watching Montreal play Toronto. I can't believe how little effort is in this for the Habs and now with the Flu going around again there is a built in excuse. I don't have the flu but I want to puke at this effort if you can even call it that.
  13. I'm sick to my stomach watching this habs team make the rangers look good. And unlike the Leafs against the Habs last night, the Habs are unlikely to put an effort into a comeback when down by 3 goals.
  14. COME ON...THE TEAM HAS NO CLUE WTF THEY ARE DOING OUT THERE, RUNNING AROUND CONSTANTLY. this is so frustrating to watch, no intensity no urgency AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH WAKE THE F UP Islanders are up 4 - 1 Carolina is up 2 - 1
  15. Kostytsin looks very good. Kovalev looks very physical tonight, hitting everything (elbow on Ortmeyer anyone) The team needs to pick it up a notch though and get some better scoring chances.
  16. chippy afair thus far. Man that avery gets under my skin....
  17. Ryder takes stupid penalties, Bouillon looks like a child against Jagr and Halak has to stop that. Off the knob of the stick and in...Geez the bad luck.
  18. You've got to be kidding me. Higgins out now??? AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH Does this team know how to take their freakin vitamins and wear their hats and gloves? How many times are we going to have to watch them go through the flu through the entire freakin team? I guess Kosty takes Higgins place on the top line. GO Saku GO GO HALAK GO GO HABS GO
  19. It was reported by some people a few days ago that the habs put in their offer for Smyth and it was Perezhogin, Milroy and a 1st. this was 2 days ago I heard this, not now, but 2 days go. The guy on chfans, who has a reputable source and is known to only put down real rumors, said exactly what would go down. If the oilers didn't sign him they would trade him and the Habs offer was as above. Good enough or better i don't know. But the habs did put in their offer too.
