I honestly dont care if I lose an RFA the payback from losing the player is so much more significant I dont care if its 3 30th overall picks there still 3 1st rounders.
Players Like No trade clauses, Higher salary, higher Signing bonus, and player options.
GM's Like Two-way Contracts, Lower Salaries, Team options.
eg. You give someone like Brad Stuart a PO because its like getting an extra year out of him. However a PO on a yanic Perrault could have you paying 3 mil for someone retireing and losing there skills.

The only reason I believe bertuzzi should be reinstated is because he sat a whole year. Yes everyone was locked out but he was locked out and supspeneded. Bertuzzi is in my fav teams div and I hate seeing him back but he missed something like 15 games before the playoffs and during the playoffs(lost to cgy in game 7). Then Bertuzzi was suspeneded all last season as well. Yes everyone didnt get to play but its been like 2 years since the moore incident... I say suspend him until the pre-season is over and then let him play. The inability to mold with the players coming into the team would be devistating

Great Goalies - eg. Brodeur, Kipper, Theo, Turco, Luongo
Good Goalies - eg. Dunham, Legacy, Roloson, Cloutier
Suitable Goalies - eg. Turek, Conklin, Hedberg, Grahame
Yikes - eg. Irbe, Sauve, Osgood ect.
Basically I think you can break down all NHL goalies into 4 categories. I believe danis will make it as high as good. O doubt danis will make it to the all-star game more than once.

Its a known fact that EA NHL is about 5 years behind madden in dynasty mode. It will be years before EA puts out a decent NHL dynasty mode. EHM is great if you wanna be a gm but its definitely not like playing EA NHL.
EHM is a in depth simulator and that is all. Also with EHM the game never really changes.. 20 years down the road your still drafting computer generated players and using them in your lines.. but its restricted to simulating hockey. Also the cpu AI is just terrible.

looking back on losing stlouis to waiver.. I do want to pull my hair out but I am a fan of all the Jarome Iginlas out there. If Deadmarsh were 100% he would be a way better LW for Iginla than Amonte. Also my theory is amonte will retire after this season. If your going to move to a contender during your last season you might as well goto the underdogs that almost won the cup.

that is correct; not to mention the east is a weaker conferance. I suppose Toronto has as good of a shot to making the playoffs as atlanta or Buffalo.

Danis has alot of potential, I think he is capable of being a #1 guy in a few seasons and could be a dunham, or a cloutier. Come on habs fans.. at least I didnt say dafoe.

Montreal will struggle to make the playoffs, but they will get 7th or 8th where they will lose to philidelpha in the first round. I definitely would rather see montreal in the playoffs than toronto.. I guess its all up to kovalev.

Me and my friends play poker at least 1 a week.. We have a transparent deck of cards and a poker table, and chips from costco.

I felt like giving up 2 3rd rounders that could have turned into reg nhl'er. I also give up a future backup. In Return I get 2 Dmen that can both play very strong defensively and are fairly cheap. I lose Chelios to retirement but Marchment will have at least next season in him. My Defensive depth problems have been solved and McLaren is now being actively shopped.

putting stlouis on waivers was calgarys worst decision. Still I dont think st louis should make more than 4-4.5 because he has no checking game. Everyone has been over paid this offseason tho.
