  1. Colorado sends

    Alex Korolyuk, LW/RW, 75-73-75, 71 Con., 33 y.o., $2,000,000, 1 yr. TO

    COL 4th 2011

    to the Sabres for

    Pavel Vorobiev, RW/LW, 76-69-72, 75 Con., 28 y.o., $1,500,000, 4 yr.

Colorado Confirms. I was looking for a temporary stop-gap on my second line with 75+ shooting to go with Briere and Helpern, and Buffalo was nice enough to accept my offer straight away. This is a temporary fix to try and win as many games as possible while I'm still not a very good team.

  2. Hi guys,

will take over the Caps ... hope there are still lots of guys from earlier around and that we'll have fun playing!

Will take a look at my team this weekend, so don't expect any major moves that early.

But so far I can see, the whole AHL team is for sale ... No Germans at all will be at my team, never! :B)

    Hannes

Hannes: Welcome back. Good to have a grade-A GM back in the league.

  3. To Ottawa - Rob Niedermayer CON=72

    To Colorado - OTT 3rd 2012

Acquiring more depth since it looks like the Isbister experiment isn't going to work.

A 3rd rd. pick for a retiring depth player? Done deal. Very quick negotiations. Confirmed.

  4. I'd like to thank and congratulate Kozed and Habitforming for their tremendous work on the draft. I didn't even make any prospects, so the credit goes to them.

Take care guys, Habitforming will send in lines for me for the wednesday night sim, I just tomorrow night's lines in. Thanks Matt. Take care guys.

    Happy scouting!

 To all of you. Very much appreciated.

  6. As for pickup lines, here's a story from Justin, you probably remember him from 6 middle, Ryan:

"So I'm hanging out at my friend's house and we're talking about women when the friend's step dad comes in. He overhears our conversation and thinks we're talking about how to pick up girls for a one night stand. He proceeds to tell us the two best pickup lines he knows. The first is to go up to a random girl and ask her to marry you. Yeah, she'll give a funny look, but the conversation begins with a bang and she'll be hooked. The second comes about because relationships are too complicated today. Girls just want you to cut through all the BS and not play games. Thus, the best pickup line for a one night stand is, 'So, do you wanna @#$% or do I owe you an apology?' "

hahahaha. Yeah, I can hear Zre saying that, that's hilarious.

  7. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=244291&amp...=headlines_main

More Canadian teams and improved revenue sharing would be excellent. I think the United States is maxed out on hockey teams for now and the gap is still too big between the big-money franchises and the smaller market teams (This is NOT an anti-american or south-bashing sentiment). The league needs a bigger Canadian presence to continue to grow intelligently and bring back some of the passion that the league lacks. The days of really passionate, intense games between Montreal and Quebec, for instance, have been lost to an international economic dynamic that no longer exists. If the NHL moves teams or, god forbid, expands, the new teams should be in Canadian cities.

Now can we just keep the rules to the game the same for consecutive seasons?

  8. I'm going to be on vacation in France, Germany, and Italy from July 28th to August 14th, and as a result will not be active and will nto be able to submit lines.

Is there anyone who wouldn't mind submitting lines for me while I'm away? Thanks for your help.

  9. Present and trying to find a more appropriate (and politically correct) name for my top line of Kane - Kessel - Kanatov for next season (2011-12).

    Suggestions welcome.

  10. Colorado sends:

    Patrick Berglund, LW/C, 20 y.o., 79-78-78, 87 con.

    to Columbus for

    CBS 1st 2011

    Colorado confirms.

I like this deal because it gets me a pick probably between 10-15 somewhere, and I will have another guy in the arsenal to bring along with Kane, Kanatov, Kessel, Ruegsegger, Ryan, Cumiskey, and company. This is a fair trade because Columbus' pick in 2010 came at #13, and a very similar player to Berglund (Sutter) got picked at #9. We're both taking a risk on the pick: if CBS takes off this year, I get screwed, but if CBS has a rough year, then I get a windfall. Berglund is young, consistent, durable and might have a point or two of development left in him. Around 10-15 OA, I can look forward to completing my second line or getting my hands on a 2/3 defenseman. With my own 1st rd. pick still in my bag, another good draft is on the horizon, and the rebuilding will be well underway.

  11. Martin St. Louis: 850 GP, 324 G, 413 A, 737 Pts., .867 Pts./GP.

Martin St. Louis spent most of his time on struggling teams. His .867 points per game is outstanding considering some of the help that he had throughout his career. If I had more stats or a good way to compare him to other players in EHM, I would. His career should've been about 2 seasons longer, which would have left his career stats something like this:

    1000 GP, 381 G, 486 A, 867 Pts., .867 Pts./GP.
