  1. Look at the choices the Red Wings would have depending on what kind of team they'd like:

    Datsyuk/Draper/Yzerman/LANG-Zetterberg/SHANAHAN-MALTBY

    LIDSTROM-Fischer/Chelios/SHNEIDER

    Osgood/LEGACE

    The caps are my picks.

    Dallas:

    Lehtinen-Modano-Guerin

    Zubov-Sweeney/Boucher

    Turco

    NY Rangers:

    Hlavac-Straka-Jagr

    Kasparaitis-Poti

    Blackburn/Dunham/Weekes

  2. He can be invited to Training Camp as long as Gretzky has no intention of choosing him for the team which he obviously does because he's wasting a spot at camp.

20 games, the play-offs and $500,000 (and last year's WC) is too little a price for Bertuzzi. The rule where the injurer comes back at the same time as the injuree is fair. Moore gets more punished for being sucker punched and tackled than Bertuzzi does for assaulting and injuring someone just because he bodychecked his teammate in a hockey game a week ealier.

  3. The penalty doesn't necessarily mean the best player son the team. Bulis will definitely have a spot on the penalty kill.

Also I don't know why you have 5 player son the penalty kill. Maybe you're expecting one to be in the penalty box?

    1:Koivu - Sundstrom - Souray - Dandenault

    2:Bulis - Bonk - Rivet - Markov

By the way, puck7x, pretty much the only smileys in this thread are my sig so I guess that's what you're talking about?

  4. Of course this guy's crazy, racist, prejudiced and couldn't pick out a nice suit if it flew up his ass but it's nice to have something to laugh at in middle of the game. Especially if we're losing. I like watching and listening to this guy.

But Kelly Hrudey is very good.:/)

  5. Two Torontonians are scent to Hell.

Satan sees these two newcomers to his prison and sends them in his hottest cells and lets them suffer in the heat. The next day, the Torontonians are smiling and happy. This confuses Satan and he wants some answers.

"Well, we're from Canada where it's very cold so we like the heat."

The Devil acknowledges this but continues his plan to terrorize the Torontonians. He has a devious (and we expect no less from the devil, himself) plan to torture the newcomers. He makes the weather as cold as he can and thinks: "If they love hot weather, surely they'll hate cold weather."

Sure enough, the next day the Torontonians are even happier. Satan is angry tofind himself outsmarted by two mortals.

"You love hot weather and now you love cold weather, too. Why is this?"

The men replied: "When Hell freezes over, the Leafs must have won the Stanley Cup!"

    :P:D;):):king:

  6. Is it just me or are the Habs a very versatile and flexible team this year?

With Dandenault's ability to go from a two-way defenseman to a two-way winger, Bonk going from a big (also two-way) center to a winger, Bulis (extremely two-way) going from strong defense to (possibly) strong offense in the blink of an eye, Bégin playing the bodies one moment and playing the puck the next, Higgins playing a strong two-way game, Koivu adding assists and defense to his goals and the occasional use of Vandermeer can transform the Habs from one extreme to the other.

The bottom two lines will be fun to watch. Offense, defense and grit combined and masked only to be revealed between two quick shifts.

Veterans and youth. Speed and size. O and D. Center or Winger.

The Habs will have much more to them than can be seen by the naked eye. Defensive forwards, versatile players and players who can play more than one position are the key to our double-team. Depending on which side of each player shows up we may see some interesting hockey. Julien can master these sides and use the right abilities of each player in the right game, I think the Habs can exceed expectations.

Edit: And I forgot about Perezhogin's ability to play at either wing.

:ghg::ghg::ghg: tell me what u think the pentaly kill is week i think lol

I'd hate to completely disagree with the forwards lines.

I've been bashed enough times by proposing Dagenais on a checking line. He's bench-warming unless no one can earn his second-line spot.

I'd have to go with something like this:

    Kovalev-Koivu-Zednik

    Perezhogin-Ribeiro-Ryder

    Sundstrom-Bonk-Bulis

    Plekanec-Bégin-Higgins

    Rivet-Markov

    Souray-Streit

    Dandenault-Bouillon

    Theodore

Since we have so many propsects and then there's Vandermeer and so on these can change pretty easily.

  8. I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to link to Gazette articles or something but if anyone read today's Gazette there was an article by Stu Cowan about Todd Bertuzzi.

He's one of them who was disgusted about Bertuzzi receiving a standing ovation from the Canuck fans. He also seems upset at Wayne Gretzky for showing that "hockey players can get away with anything" after he was chosen for the Canadian Olympic Team.

The rest rants on about Bertuzzi only received 20 games and $500,000 for injuring Steve Moore and the whole situation.

    It was a good article.

Just wondering if anyone heard anything about that.
