Pateryn takes Nesterov's spot in the line-up tonight. That makes sense considering Nesterov only played 12 minutes last game.

Don't really get the thought of Pateryn being available however. Unless Bergevin has another move up his sleeve we don't have anyone capable of playing 7th defenceman. We saw that it really didn't work with Redmond which is why he's in the AHL. Guess we could always call up superstar Johnston.

we just picked up Keegan Lowe, all is good now:sarcasm_on:

How dare you bring up Gretzky.  I think Gretzky would have been considered too flashy for MT and his supporters here.  He whined too much to the refs and disrespected other franchises by calling them Mickey Mouse organizations and tried to pad his stats too much by showing up teams by scoring unnecessary empty net goals and celebrating his goals like he never scored a goal before.  He also had too big of an ego with his Mr. Big commercials. Worst of all he was a skinny wimp who couldn't fight his own battles and needed semenko to protect him.  If it wasn't for a tough guy like semenko, Gretzky would never have been the great one.  And how dare he let himself be called the great one!

you make some very good points. I wasn't thinking, of course he would have no place on this team. Far too flashy I am amzed he did as well as he did.:sarcasm_on:

It is the 20% games that are the killer, like the last one combined with lost in space in own end and turnovers all add up being safer to put the kid on the wing.

Also, he might want to spend extra time practicing faceoffs and less on one-timers, if he wants to play top two centre role.

ya know the kid is a possession artiste. I think if you have the puck all the time, they don't. I think we should accentuate the positive, he is an offensive player, he will never be Plekanic but he will get us a lot of goals. Especially if he plays with Rads and Patches. Let the kid be who he is. A point producer. If he is always in their end with the puck that is good defense. I remember a young man named Gretzky, he was terrible in his own end, and nobody cared, mostly cause he was never there.

    I think you mean Andrighetto

Duclair had a pretty damn good 1st year, I don't know what happened to him this year. Could it be the dreaded sophomore jinx? Is he worth taking a gamble on? Giving up Ghetto for him seems a reasonable risk, since getto ain't exactly lighting up the lamp.

They'll come out of the break skating hard for the new coach, then hopefully MB adds a couple of pieces to keep it going.

Ok the skating hard thing didn't happen so let's go for the trade part.

I loved PK's time as a Hab, I really did. But the key word in your post was embarrassing. There were too many times to count that he did something that was embarrassing. And coming from a geographical area that is saturated with Leaf, Bruin and miscellaneous fans it was alot to deal with. We rode the highs with PK and we also rode the lows with him.

Ya know you get a guy like PK once in a life time. Yes he has charisma. Yes he is a sparkplug. Of course that is a bad thing:scared:Because in the NHL you can;t have character, you can't have fun.  No he is not a cliche kind of guy, but man you got to admit he was a lot of fun. He made mistakes bit dammit he cared about winning. With him it was all about the habs winning. He always gave his all, but he now plays for another team and while I may miss him,  he is now an enemy.

Radulov is said to have been loving it in Montreal. Trading him would probably break his heart. Probably wouldn't come back. Only way you do that is if you know he wants to re-sign and will take a trade to help the team.

you cannot even think of "that trade"

If Julien doesn't work out, Bergevin is getting fired. He's out of bold moves.

It looked to me that Le genius simply could not adapt, he had his system and that was that. Last ear and this year he appeared completely lost when things went bad. I will say that he was a lot more mature behind the bench, damned near looked professional. They real really should have let him coach 1 last game with his mustart coloired jacket just for old times sake. He will get a job or he will get paid by until 2019. Not a bad deal if you can get. it. He can also fall back on his previous career as a bouncer. So long Le Genius it was fun while it lasted (NOT REALLY)

Vanek has been such a band aid, but I do agree. Wouldn't have to break the bank and could potentially add another player...

Tyson Barrie is a guy I'd like to see in a Habs unifrom

Yeah I am pretty sure he would not come back if Le Genius were still here.

Simply isn't a good spot for Desharnais anymore, so not sure what happens to him for next few months? Would anyone want him at trade deadline?

I am not too sure anyone needs a short hot dog eater. He had a good run, maybe someone will take him to expose him in the draft, hell maybe we will. (i think we will)

Sure, just trying to set him straight is all. Sorry, you didn't bug me...but now that Uncle Mike is on sabbatical, what will you find to be pissed off at...you must almost be in heaven this week?:tumbleweed:

No actually I was completely gobsmacked that they fired him. I do think CJ ( have to find nick name for him) is  a step up. But really what about poor wee davey? His career probably just crashed and burned. And poor MB  he has to show cj how the fox hole works.
