Yeah, I mean, he played an indifferent game or two with his next vacation in Sunny Isles on his mind, and then went out and groped some strippers at Chez Paree. Which of us would have done any differently? What the hell is wrong with that!
I did not hear about the strippers, my gosh has the Pope been advised. That is trading grounds right there. Just look at the purse snatcher and what happened to him.

Oshie signed 46 million over 8 years. The Caps have balls.

I have said 100times, I don't want to see him traded; but, people who think he can bring back both a top d and centre are overestimating his value...and Mike is doing just fine.
I did not say he was worth it, I said that is what I want. I want the other stuff you threw in but I have to be reasonable.

Don already preparing to defend Bergevin when he doesn't get a centre, AGAIN.
But its hard.
so very hard.

Your silly!
You want a 1st round pick, unlimited rounds of golf at Augusta, lifetime free beer and pizza in return as well?
We can skip the pizza. but the rest is all good. You obviously do not realize how good galchenyuk can be. Also you have to quit consulting with you uncle Michel.

Yeah it means either keep him or get a top line centre for him.
Top line centre and a decent lh defenceman.

Good riddance Beaulieu. I think that's a pretty good return for what he's become.
Good to see you back Colin, hang around for while.

Martin Lamey was saying the same thing on TSN 690 the other day.
He thinks Pleks has the most value because they could flip him at the deadline for a first rounder. (That's what he said)
That is it. Martin Lemay. Thanks Davehab.

What will it cost Bergy to have Vegas take Emelin (or Plekanec)...2nd round pick?
I read an article this morning that a french writer says he spoke to Mcphee, who told him they were taking Pleks100%. Of course I can't find that article but it was on tsn.

That'd be a great deal, I think.
it is a great deal but I don't see jersey doing it.

Yeah the whole department needs a make over. 1st fire Mark down Mark then fire the rest and hire the absolute best guys for the jobs.
-
I truly hope you are right and they have learned their lesson. but..............................

Ok the shock of the trade has worn off. They weren't going to protect him so ya gotta get something for him. Basically Mark had a gun to head and took the best option. Nate was always a little flakey but I really thought maybe he could get his head around this hockey thing. I don't believe the story about being in the truck with Kassian anymore than I believe Chelios s boinking t his name's wife.

Dreger's reporting the Habs didn't get anything else in before the roster freeze so there aren't any other deals coming (for a few days at least).
sounds like we dodged another mark down mark bullet.

Got any examples, that led you to this conclusion?
Chirelli and Neely made those calls on the trades, not the coach.
Obviously Bergy didn't want to lose Nate the Great for nothing, so as of now Timmins and Habs have picks 54-58-68-85 to work with next Sat.
Did you forget #25 or 1st rounders don't count?

Apparently the Habs are say Beaulieu had a terrible attitude and it was rubbing off on Galchenyuk. They were not happy about that.
I guess being benched for the biggest game of the year showed where Beaulieu sat with the Habs management.
At least we got something for him.
ok so we keep galch then right?

Jeez. Brutal. The MB regime simply does not appear to value either young players or puck-moving defencemen.
He will now trade Galchenyuk for a young puck moving defenceman. Who he will flip for a 4th liner.

Mark down has lost his mind. The pressure got to him and his head exploded.
-
This has got to be joke right? A 3rd rounder? where is the rest of the trade? Like maybe the 1st that comes with the 3rd.

That's why it makes zero sense to trade him now. I'd trade MaxPac before i'd trade Galchenyuk. Given his numbers and his salary, we should be able to get a much bigger return for MaxPac. That is also a change that would bring the big "culture change" that MB always seems to be harping about.
We need offence, we should not be trading our top goal scorers. unless sid or malkin re coming back or ov.

Ya, his contract is no good and I am not a fan at all neither, but simply his play is still pretty good and he is LH d-man.
thre are very few players I really dislike, but he is one of them. And Chara of course.

I'm not worried about Drouin walking out on the AHL team, it was all business.
1) He was at 38 GP when he was sent down. He needed to play 40 games to get a year of service time which is a big deal in terms of when you can be a free agent and when you can be eligible for arbitration under the CBA.
2) He was one of the most dangerous players on the lightning, he was getting minimal minutes but his pts/minute played was top 2 on the team.
3) They sent him to the AHL.
4) he reported, he played in the AHL, he was putting up points. They wouldn't recall him.
At that point it became clear tampa was jerking him around so he wouldn't get the 2 games played and the service time. Basically what tampa was doing to him just for contract reasons, when he clearly earned his place in the NHL, wasn't right. So if he wanted to ask for a trade and go home to get them to stop jerking him around... I'm fine with that.
interesting I did not know "the rest of the story" It definitely gives some clarity.

Claude Julien was Montreal's coach when Mike Ribeiro flopped around on the ice like a soccer player who got breathed on, then was up skating his next regular shift.
Boston under Julien was the league's worst embellishment/diving team, always crying foul at fake offenses by the other team, then claiming the other team was diving when they were spearing them in the nuts.
I recognize he's a good coach, and so intellectually I was happy to see him replace Therien...but I so hope Montreal doesn't start pulling that same crap.
Hey now don't forget we have CHaracter. ( I almost spilled my beer writing that)
