They played back to back, starter normally takes game 1

the habs need to score period, doesn't matter the goalie

I always thought the backup took the road game in these cases.  But yeh, score early, score often.

Hutchinson starts for the Leafs tonight.

    Spezza is scratched.

Am I the only one insulted that they choose this game for Hutchinson?  It's as if they think we don't pose an actual threat.

Poehling has a concussion and is out indefinitely.

McCarron's groin injury will keep him out 6 weeks.

    Byron is not practicing today.

    My head hurts.

Looks like Ikonen is out for 6 months too.

I'm getting a sign in issue where I click to sign in, but it stays on the login page and doesn't tell me if I'm in or not. If I try to sign in again I get an error. If I click off the page back to "Community Home" it shows me as logged in and I can post as before.

However, if I close down my browser I have to go through the whole process again. My sign in isn't being remembered by my browser like it did before.

    I'm having the same issue.

The issue here is that this is a dump for both teams.

    Tampa dumps the cap space.

Ottawa dumps money, cause Condon has to be paid by the team, while the majority of Callahan's contract comes out of insurance.

So its not the same as Marleau where the cost was both cash and cap hit (and all on one team).   This is saving one team cap space, and one team cash.  Guess which one is Eugene Melnyk.

Price and Weber have been teaching guys like Gallagher, Mete, Petry , Danault, Domi , Tatar, Drouin ,Lehkonen and Kotkaniemi already and these would be the new leadership  in the room for the younger guys like Suzuki, Caufeild and poehling once you trade Weber and Price.

While there's potential for leadership on that list of players, I'd say that only Gallagher and Petry could be counted on to provide something akin to what Price and Weber bring to the locker room.

The Habs have 25 players on their roster on cap friendly right now.

Every player they send down, they save the first 1.075 million in salary.

23 men is the max NHL roster... so to add a player they send 3 to the AHL.

Sending down Alzner, Peca and Weise, means they would have 7.269 million in space.

Most teams leave about a million in space for callups due to injury.

They could sign a player worth up to 6 million with no other moves.

Can we sticky this post somehow?  ^_^
