Description:The NHA is an EHM league that has now become open for anyone to join. The league opened its doors in late June, featuring a draft lottery with a snaked draft order, similar to the NHL. We are currently starting season 2 Thursday night. Perfect time to join and get up to speed. If you're looking for a solid league, with active GM's and a friendly atmosphere, the NHA is for you. Open Teams:

Tampa Bay (prev. season 41-28-1, 95pts ): Club that is easily one of the best in the East. Features a spectactular core of young stars such as Vincent Lecavalier, Brad Richards, Mike Ribiero, Scott Gomez and Justin Williams. Defense is anchored by the pairing of Sheldon Souray and Pavel Kubina, and with Nikolai Khabibulin in net, this club is set. $13 million + in cap room.

New Jersey (prev season, 9th in East)

Features:

The NHA operates with a salary cap of $60 million. Teams may exceed the cap by 5% ($3 million), during the month of March and till the beginning of the next season. Any club that violates the cap in any other timeframe, or by more than 5% during March, will have the club's highest rated player released unless they go under the cap by the next sim.

The "franchise player" is a tag that can be designated to any one player by the team GM. The salary of the franchise player will not count against the league cap.

Each club can play a goaltender for no more than 72 games a season. If a goaltender does play more than 72 games for a playoff team, he must sit out the entire first round. Non playoff teams lose a third-round draft pick.

During the off-season, there are no consistency drops due to trades. During the season, no player under the age of 25 can lose consistency due to a trade, and those above 25 can lose no more than 10%.

Player editing is at an absolute minimum, with no con increases, purchases or pot ups handed out. UFA bidding is closed, via email. Drafts are generated using EHM v1.16, and our first ingame generated draft is looking like a good one.

Simulation: Simming will be done approximately every three days, for an average of three times a week. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, each of an ingame week. During the playoffs, 2 EHM days will be simmed every day.
