  1. But even if the skits on Conan aern't great he makes up for it by beeing pretty damn funny. I love it when he just completely goes off topic of what he was supposed to do, lol And what other show has the guest laughing their pants off the way they are with Conan? The guests seem more relaxed... I agree big time with the Kilbourne thing: he's such a wannabe asshole that only has sluts on his show so he can do that annoying thing when they sit next to him: he gradually leans towards them and puts his arm around their chair...ugh I'd like to kick his ass too... he's the exact opposite of Conan Nothing on Sunday nights? ---> The Simpsons! (even if the humour is becoming less and less intelligent and more slapstick....(like all good series begin to blow at one point) And one of my fav's shows come up at midnight on sundays: ER! (the ONLY drama show I watch)
  2. Coming from the person who dislikes jealous people...LOL...You clearly hate the Devils. (like most people) And to quote you: ''that makes your arguments weak as hell''. You're analysing the ''what if this and that happened'' of the Devils this year... Care to do that for all the teams that won the cup for the last 80 years or so? The Sens won the 1st game of the series, so I guess they were sleepwalking and somehow still managed to win? And when the Sens did ''wake up'' they still LOST to the Devils in game 7. I guess that's still luck! Poor Habs77, you have to understand that it's not sheer skill on paper that makes a champion. It's experience, and the ability to BRING IT when it counts the most. The Devils had an easy road? The Devils were favorites to beat the Bruins and Lightning in 4-6 games for each series. That's EXACTLY what they did, and they even made it shorter. The Bruins couldn't do anything except for one game and the Devils won in 5. They also beat the Bolts in only 5 games, and BTW when they won it wasn't always in overtime: the other team almost never had control of the puck. The Sens were the most skilled team of the playoffs, but THERE'S A REASON why they didn't show up for 2-3 games of the most important series of their lives: they didn't have what it takes to be a winner yet. A champion team doesn't only rely on its skill, it had every player on the ice working together for a full 60 minutes, and it doesn't ''take games off''. The fact that the Sens ''didn't show up'' (lame excuse for not admitting the Devils just beat them) is alone proof that they don't even deserve the Cup.
  3. One of the few shows that still make me laugh out loud like a moron I hope he replaces Leno soon on the 11:35 pm time slot! The guy just cracks me up every night and at least he doesn't make booring, lame jokes. Instead he laughs at the fact that the jokes blow...hehehe
  4. Another obvious fact there, but it's ok that you don't get it. So I guess Anaheim was lucky to sweep Detroit and beat the Stars? The Sens had more pure skill then the Devils, were a better team on paper, but you should start to understand that it's not the flashiest team that win cups, it's the best TEAMS that do. Ottawa could of been the in finals, it was close, but if you say that NJ were lucky to beat the Sens then I guess EVERY team that one a game 7 by a goal was lucky, even if it was in the last 5 minutes. So if the Devils would of won vs Ottawa in OT instead of the finals minutes, it would have been luck too? I also guess it was pure luck that let the Habs win the cup in 1993. NJ was the best team in these playoffs, when it counted the most they all played to the max. and did what they could to win. I wish my Habs would have the same drive.
  5. ...NJ wins as A TEAM. If you don't think the Devils deserved the cup, or were lucky, then ouch. They do the most with the amount of skill they have. TEAM wins cups, not one-player shows. You're a joke Habs77, but oh well.
  6. So does Brodeur. Giguere showed up in the last game, he should win it but Brodeur has a slim chance.
  7. ''It's funny that some people are jealous of the Ducks success'': LOL The only jealous person here is people like you who envy the Devils. At least I have the guts to admit they do whatever it takes to win year after year. Newsflash, I don't hate the Ducks, in fact I was one of their biggest fans during the regular season. (even before the season started) Sad to see you don't know everything, eh Habs77? Then again, what would you expect from a person jealous of the Devils' success... Giguere has been the best so far, but he needs to show up in game 7 because if he blows it bad when it counts the most, how can you be the MVP? Oh, and as for the ''exciting'' arena in Anaheim, NJ's is just as good during these series. Tell me, what is it exactly that makes the games better in Anaheim? Is it Elmilio Estevez showing up and talking about the freaking Mighty Ducks MOVIE? You want a weak argument? How about saying that a certain TEAM isn't deserving of a win because of their FANS. Gee, I guess the Habs players really deserved to win the cup because we are basically the best fans in the world (we are:)!) Plus the Devils don't bitch and complain and annoy other teams, they play clean, unlike teams such as Toronto or Boston...They are disciplined and mind their own business. Madden barks a little at Rucchin and suddenly the Devils are a whining team...give me a break... Poor Habs77...If you're THAT sick about watching NJ at home then...don't watch Go Devils [Edited on 2003/6/9 by Markov79]
  8. I just think it should be given to the player who best allowed his team to win the cup. If Giguere has an average game tonight, then give it to him. But if he blows the most important game of the playoffs, the true test of a Conn Smythe winner, then I don't think he deserves it.
  9. He's been the best player in the playoffs so far, but if he doesn't have what it takes to give his team the win in game 7 of the SC finals, then in my mind he wasn't the most valuable player. I think it's still idiotic to say ''no matter what happens tonight'' Giguere deserves the Smythe. If he plays ok and still loses, maybe. But if he's shaky then he doesn't deserve it. [Edited on 2003/6/9 by Markov79]
  10. We're not ok, we lack real solid nhl players that can perform on a daily basis. I hope Gainey watched A LOT of videotapes this month to see how much we blew last year. [Edited on 2003/6/8 by Markov79]
  11. If the Habs don't have Markov in their starting lineup come October, they're screwed. I'm guessing Brisebois won't be back, so if Markov isn't around our #1 defenseman becomes... Craig Rivet! I hope Don freakin Meehan won't play dickball with Gainey too much...or maybe Savard will sign Markov before July the 1st? If the talks turn really nasty and Markov actually plans to go back to Russia, could the Habs deal him this summer? Ok I'm getting paranoid...
  12. Yes I know you're pissed that NJ and ANA are in the finals, but guess what: they deserve to be there! Colorado, Detroit, Ottawa and Dallas, the more ''flashy'' teams all didn't come up with the clutch-goal that you need to have to win the cup. They aern't very skilled like regular Stanley Cup champs are, but it's not like this happens every year. They battled through, they beat the teams they were supposed to beat, either way you like it they are the two best teams this post-season. If it annoys you that much to watch, and I know it isn't pretty hockey, then...don't watch.
  13. He seems like a real player, not some little prick who doesn't know what it takes to excell in the nhl. He's got all the tools, I bet a team will nab him before we get a chance. He doesn't seem to have too many flaws and has as much potential as anybody.
  14. Puck, you're asking me to let you dream? Remember last summer how much I dreamed and dreamed about Selanne, (ok that sounded gay) and the year before that Hull... I think I've been the most drool-happy Habs UFA dreamer for the last few years. (I'm using reverse psychology this year, you all know what I'm really thinking )
  15. This time the Devils won't let the Ducks ###### around in Anaheim. I say game #6 goes into OT and Elias gets the Stanley Cup winning goal, mark my words. Just like I said the Devils would win the Cup and Brodeur the Conny Smythe. Hehe
  16. Hatcher can't be a #1 defenseman in Montreal. The stupid media/fans will cry when they see Hatcher misshandle the puck on the PP or not get more than 30 points a year...That's not Hatcher's game, obviously he's a Scott Stevens type d-man. But i don't think the fans will understand that. Hatcher looks good when you have puck moving defenseman like Zubov and Syddor to back you up. Our defense lacks MAJOR skill, I doubt Hatcher would be a good fit here. We aern't a cup contending team yet...

    The Ring

I watched it on tape a few days ago, everyone said to me that it was really confusing, and I have to say that the end is rather strange and cool at the same time...

    The Ring

I just saw the movie ''The Ring'' last night.( On DVD) I have to say that it was the freakiest, scariest, most ######ed up movie I've seen in a LONG time...Can't remember the last movie that actually made me hesitate about doing something after watching it...hehehe Anyone else seen it?
  19. I'd say the Pens or the Blue Jackets have an excellent chance at landing Ovechkin. Think he's a Lebraun James type franchise player?
  20. LMAO! It's not like the Islanders had a great team... They got beat by an excellent Sens team, probably the deepest team skill-wise in the nhl... ######ing Milbury! http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=43234 Again rds will probably be the last to report this
  21. Savard tried to go after Kovalchuk at the 2001 draft, he put together the best package out of all the 30 teams because he knew Illya was more than special. I know this year it's Andre's call at the draft table for our #1 pick, but is Gainey the type to shake things up like Savard was willing during his tenure with the habs?
  22. check out tsn.ca... Maybe the finals are too booring so they just want to bring up old rumours...
  23. Usually rds is the 1st to report every single detail about the Habs even if it's meaningless. I'd be really surprised if Savard steps down, especially before the draft. Usually there's a lot of wheeling and dealing before/during/shortly after the draft, and Savard himself stated that something could happen at the draft table... One thing's for sure, it'll be an interesting summer!
  24. Sure Boivin and co would love to have Mario, but is Gillett prepared to dish out the big bucks? Yes revenues will increase with #66 and I'll buy season tickets and all that crap, but Gillett has really been screwed by the Habs in terms of payroll... Although the bottom line is if Mario comes up to the Habs organisation and asks to play in Montreal, one would think Gillett would start to drool and give in anyways Anyhow I'll always remember how down I was after that bitch Selanne stayed in San Jose, I have 0 expectations this year...Hull, Selanne....now Mario?
  25. If Brodeur wins the Smythe I win the playoff pool even if I'm almost last right now? Nice!
