f*ch, yeah! They are managing the lineup like I would on a game console! I like it
You literally just said the opposite and you want Arber sent down and to roll the old guys...

Wideman is playing 1bout 16.5 minutes/game, +3 over 10 games and he's even on the ice for a decent proportion of defensive-zone starts. While there are some defensive issues (as there are for almost all offensive defencemen) his partnership with Kovacevic is working out quite well, I don't think he's being assigned bag skates at this point.
He plays with Xhekaj

Wonder, has Slafkovsky been practicing on the PP unit?
I read he has been in every PP meeting since the start of the season. His usage will increase each game. Hopefully they can build on last games PP performance. Cause with an above avg PP this team can look very different in the standings.
I do like pitlick on a line with Evans and Slav alot mire then Pezetta...

I think most aware Leafs realized October was a bad month for the team schedule wise and just wanted to go .500 this month... I'm sure they will be fine. Even if I enjoy them losing 😛
There goaltending is suspect... there D is terrible and with NO depth.
There bottom 6 is really not anything to write home about...
There top 6 is one of the best in the league if not tops in the league...
There coaching is proving to be suspect as well
Without a high octane O and lethal PP they will struggle.
PLAYOFFS Prove this
NO POWERPLAY NO PARTY for TO

On pace for +63 goals this season which is a continuation of end of last season with the promotion of St. Louis . He is also playing at a point a game pace for almost 50 games now with no signs of slowing down and instead is getting better. He could easily have 4/5 more goals given his chances
He has outscored both Kessel and Matthews in US development. Broke NCAA records... what more does this guy need to do. He's a legit scorer and will be in the mix for the Richard barring injuries.
36 goals is way to conservative!

Sounds good, but seems unlikely.
Why?
Statistically since Feb of last year he is well over that pace including end of season/ preseason and start of this season.
Not to mention all previous seasons in all leagues point too him being an elite scorer.

That may be true. But we are only a couple of injuries on D away from playing Scheuneman, Barron or someone like Bowey on a reqular basis. Hopefully, that doesn't happen, but our NHL depth on D is already injured. Also, if Allen or Montembault gets hurt our chances for Bedard go way up. That said, I hope the Habs continue to exceed expectations and Florida unexpectedly crashes and burns.
That's the case with most teams if they lose there #1 goalie or top 2 defenders!
Wait a second...We've already started the season (going on 10 games) with our defacto #1 and #2 Dmen out of the line up and our #1 GOALIE for the season/ permanently...
So your saying if we lose our top 4 dman? Lol
What team wouldn't be screwed?

i see no reason to think 50 is out of the question... he has excelled in scoring in every league he has ever played. All this while already showing in the 2021 playoffs and the 2nd half of last season and already this preseason and regular season that he has no problems finding twine and not only is he good at scoring but elite!
52 i think or more

this thread is useless

Hoffman really hasn't been that bad... and with a year left after this it might be best to build him up...
-
I think the plan is for him to work his way up the line up...
Getting a PP goal on his maiden game with PP time is a good starting point.
-
Happy birthday
-
Kovacevic continues to impress me... I honestly think at this point his spot is safe with Edmundsons return after the road trip.
Amazing what a good powerplay can do to help this team.
-
Gallagher and now Hoffman with open cages and they shoot wide... to be fair blues missed an open cage as well
-
Who really thinks we have a chance at Bedard... the kids are too good to be tanking unfortunately...
-
Keep in mind guhle has been battling a knock and that concussion protocol that lowered his TOI or he's likely leading the stat line on total TOI
-
Harris and Guhle are not going anywhere....
Clearly Scheuneman goes down for Edmundson and we will worry about Matheson in 6 weeks.
I'd think they are very pleased with Kovacevic play.... the only thing keeping Wideman in the lineup is powerplay TOI and they aren't even converting on the PP so...
Should be interesting
-
So is he in or out of the line up?
-
Dach is looking better and better by the shift.
All the praise goes to Guhle as well as Arber's presence but Harris is quietly playing good hockey...
If these rookie D can keep it up then all bets are off

It's a four-point game in the Bid for Bedard! 😂
It ain't happening... we didn't even deserve last years first relative to all the issues we had during the season rather then us being just a terrible team.
If you want Bedard then your hoping for our kids to be terrible. (Most notably Suzuki and Caufield)
That just isn't going to happen....
Guhles a keeper for real!!!

And? You mean you would like to see Drouin get a contract extension? He has always been good in offensive zone never in doubt, just rest of his game sucks and why he was being booed earlier in the game by the home fans for ineffective lazy-looking plays.
And yes i can easily see Pitlick making that pass, he seems a smart savvy young player.
I'm sooo done watching Drouin give up the puck with a lazy pass to the slot or losing a battle for a loose puck to hold it in the zone on a PP just to see a sublime pass once every 20 games for a goal...
There is only room for one of Drouin or Hoffman. Get Pitlick back in this line up.

Seems the secret is already out and being broadcasted to the league....

Lots of positives and another entertaining game.
Kovacevic & Harris had some good moments; but Guhle was all over the fricking ice, very impressive...but would be better if Edmundson&Matheson were dressed also, so he wouldnt be asked to play 24+minutes.
8 shots for Suzuki & 5 for Caufield, love it.
Guhle is a beast! Play him as such against the best of of the best all game long!
His play will dictate what we should be doing with him. Why lower his minutes when after 4 games hes been the best if not one of the best defenders for both teams each game. Are we saving him for the playoffs already? His minutes will clearly come down by 4 minutes once Math and hopefully Joel return but until then... ride this wave of solid development and confidence boosting....

Guhle is quickly blossoming immediately b4 our eyes. Hes a freakin stud after 4 games...

That's a very big pair of dman with a wing span including sticks almost the width of the ice... lol
