This was just to tempting...
WOW!!! if you check out the Leafs web page, they've started registration for kids hockey camp. And they say spots will fill up early...
I don't doubt it cause there's about 23 guys (all too old to register, but...) that really need to attend already. It will give them something else to do besides early spring and summer golfing.
...sadly there are no pro's playing in the NHL who what to go to a toronto hockey summer camp to show the leafs how to skate...
Again, JFJ will step in and run the drills... (unless he's relieved of duty before that) He's got such foresight and brilliant mind set. If all works out, these kids could be future leaf stars... or NHL's if they go to a real camp elsewhere...
never letting up on the anti leaf dogma...

With all the respect talk going on, it was soo heartwarming to see the cheerful commentating on TSN's Sportcentre after The Habs' win against Philly, maybe things are finally changing?

Wow lol i love you Hoser, all this helps alot and I sort of agree with you on Koivu's shot but however he's been effective with his shots so that's all that matters for now
-
I wonder who Guillaume Latendresse is on the petition

Im sick of CBC, those two broadcasters they had calling the habs-penguins game saturday SUCKED lol, I'll stick with RDS.
The govt has no business broadcasting pro sports anyways, I hope they lose their nhl license next year.
Yeah i agree i'd rather stick with RDS, rather than watching a rare Habs game on TSN or on Hockey Night In Toronto lol but I feel for all the Habs fans across Canada
Don't worry though Blaze53 is here
-
My heartfelt sympathies go out to Bob Gainey and his family, don't worry Bob everything'll be alright.

These are the top 10 teams in 3rd period goals. I calculated their % of 3rd period goals (which is the important stat). I did not factor OT goals into this.
Carolina: 33 of 83 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 25 games. 39.75%
Buffalo: 31 of 98 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 23 games. 31.63%
Montreal: 29 of 66 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 22 games. 43.94%
Anaheim: 29 of 84 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 24 games. 34.52%
Ottawa: 26 of 79 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 23 games. 36.71%
Edmonton: 26 of 65 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 22 games. 40.00%
Atlanta: 25 of 81 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 25 games. 30.86%
Tamba Bay: 24 of 73 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 23 games. 32.87%
Detroit: 24 of 58 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 22 games. 41.38%
Calgary: 24 of 56 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 21 games. 42.85%
We see that though teams like Atlanta and Buffalo are doing very well, their success isn't particularly attributed to clutch goal scoring - more to overall great offences. These teams scored less than a 3rd (33.33%) of their goals in the 3rd period - there are 3 periods so to show that you are successful in the 3rd (hence clutch) more than a 3rd of your goals should fall in this period.
Here are some teams with less goals, yet high percentages of their goals were scored in the 3rd period.
Philly: 23 of 59 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 24 games. 38.98%
Chicago: 16 of 48 goals were scored in the 3rd period, in 21 games. 33.33%
Top 10 Clutch Teams:
MTL - 43.94%
CGY - 42.85%
DET - 41.38%
EDM - 40.00%
CAR - 39.75%
PHI - 38.98%
OTT - 36.71%
ANA - 34.52%
CHI - 33.33%
TBL - 32.87%
The to pteams with the least clutchness are:
NSH - 19.73% (worst in league)
NJ - 22.91%
And finally...
TOR - 25.88%
Oh, and we have the 2nd best goal differential in the 3rd period in the league (64.44%), 2nd only to Calgary at 70.59%.
Wow thank you for all that, I really appreciate it
GO HABS!!
-
I'm pleased to see that just over 75% of those who have voted want to keep him.
I thought the numbers were going to be much worse, considering I hear a lot of people jumping on Rivet whenever they get a chance.
Anyway, I have faith he'll prove his worth. (To me, he already has)
Yeahh I totally agree im glad alot of people are thinking right, the D to trade right now is for sure Niniimaaaaaaaa lol i keep forgettin how to spell his name so im playing it safe with that one
GO HABS! :hlogo:

Yeah, I just saw the write-up about it in the Gazette. I suppose they wanted to build it up a bit over the net before bringing it up in the paper.
Ohhh lol, well I guess thats some effective advertising eh
Habs All The Way Babyy! :hlogo:
-
The habs are actually the best team in the NHL when it comes to thier record if they score the first goal, so leads are being preserved at a very good rate.
I know what you mean though an example would be last night up 2 giving it back and having to retake the lead.
lolll wow I didn't know that
-
Amazing thread Spidey I looove it lol, Im sure the Habs'll come out strong in this one because this is going to be a true test.
