If Bertuzzi netted 100 points with the Habs next season, I am betting there would suddenly be a change of heart with every one on this page. I believe he has been humbled in the last year with a whole lot to prove. I would be happy to have him. His baggage may even allow the Habs to get him for a bargain price. I say it is worth the risk.
And if it doesn't work out, maybe the Avs would take him off our hands. They love helping us out.

$8 Million for Huet? That is quite a pay jump. But I suppose you have to pay your #1. If he continues to play at his current pace, it will be a steal. If not...perhaps the Avs will take him.

I would have traded him for a bag of pucks at the beginning of the season for his poor decision making and low self confidence, but he turned it around and impressed bitter me and $600,000 is reasonable.
It is almost as if Gainey knows better than me. Hmmm.

We are out of the playoffs - true. However, we put up a hell of a battle. I loved the season and all they accomplished this year. Can't wait till next year.

I was only one of six who voted Markov and her is why:
He doesn't score as many goals: true. That is because he is a defencemen. However, when the Rangers come to town, check out who is stuck to him like glue shutting down the MVP.
If you compare who is a better at their respective positions, I gotta go with Markov. Markov is a better defenceman than Ryder/Higgins is at forward.

I will even go as far to predict Zednik getting hot.
I don't know why, he hasn't shown it throughout the season, however, he is one of those, to quote my father, 'money players'.
I can also see Sheldon turning it up and showing off that shot, firing in a bunch of quick goals.

Not only would I like a little 'breathin' room (my nails are suffering) I would also like to avoid the Sens/'Canes in the first round. I think we could surprise some people vs the Flyers.

C-Love, I am having a tough time trying to keep up with your goalie choices. Didn't you post the "Huet the back up goalie" thread. Nothing like crushing the Leafs to get a little love.
If he plays like a star then that is good enough for me. Go Huet Go!

I am in a bad mood too, however, I am not going to make rash decisions on Huet's play. He is playing really well and that is what I want in a goalie. I have not heard any Devil fans jump on Marty's play after allowing 12 goals in two games. Why do we?

He is the captain AND the leader. He has to be dressed to show an example of strength and determination. With that said, he should also take it easy to prevent burnout.

I wouldn't mind Laraque assuming he is asking for a reasonable paycheck. Aside from his anti-Montreal comments, there is very little to complain about his role; keeping people away from the net, rushing the opposing goalie and smashing the hell out of people in the corners. I think he would be a good motivator.
But for God sake, no Domi!
