  1. Timely saves are what Ramo provided, he robbed us at least 2 times when should have tied it. And all the "timely" saves by huet are not good enough when he gives up 2 bad goals, the second of which was in the last minute of the first, those goals are always backbreakers. The thing that really gets me is you have no problem letting everyone know when you think price lets in a bad goal, or plays a bad game. Yet you are always finding excuses for huet when somebody says the same about him. I really don't care about Huet's save % when he is regularly allowing 1 or 2 bad goals a game. I would much rather he start with stopping the ones that should be routine saves for any NHL calibre goalie, then worry about making the "big save" when we are already down in the game. The weak goals are just really hard for a team to come back from, no matter who the team is, not only us.
  2. Huet saw that puck all the way. Watch the replay, you can see his head following it the whole time.
  3. Man if we're gonna win this one we need a save or 2
  4. No not at all, there has to be a reasonable explaination for the whole nightclub incident. It's not that I don't want him in the lineup, it's just I don't beleive O'byrne himself is going to make or break the teams chances this year by being in the lineup. We were basically a .500 team with him in the lineup 6-3-2 and he was a -4. Not exactly setting the world on fire. I wasn't saying I don't want to see him play, i'm just indifferent to it.
  5. I have to disagree, that line was so close to breaking out last game, 5 posts, and Saku set up numerous good scoring chances. I'm willing to bet on a 2pt night tonight from our captain in a big 5-2 win.
  6. I'd like to know what the hell kind of virus Hamrlik had. It seems to be taking its good old time to run its couse.
  7. I couldn't care less about O'byrne being in, Hamrlik is a big key to out sucess though.
  8. Well actually, you said that he would fetch a late rounder, thats what I was arguing, along with the fact you said "who would want him". Now your saying you have no doubt that we would get a 1st rounder, and a 4th liner. So there is no language barrier, you just didn't say that earlier, all you said was who would want him. You just have to clarify what you're talking about. That's all.
  9. When Craig Rivet fetches you a 1st round pick and a solid NHL ready defensman (georges) Then Saku Koivu (down year or not ) is going to get a hell of a lot more. And again this is all speculation because Koivu is not going anywhere, he has a NTC.
  10. lol well somebodys calculator must be broken, either that or you included playoff stats (i didn't) But comparing Recchi to sakic hejduk, forsberg, and Iginla, is silly. It's not even close. Recchi was never considered to be a superstar, a good player mind you, but not a superstar. tanguays stats are (marginally) better because of the quality of his linemates. If you don't see that then you have to be blind.
  11. Does anybody know what Brunet said about price & huet?
  12. LOL way better stats eh? Alex has a .89 points per game avg for his career, and Saku is at .82 while his numbers are a little better lets not forget that tanguay has played a good portion of his career with Sakic and Hejduk. And now he's playing with Iggy. Who has Saku played with over the years? Brian Savage, Michael Ryder, and he still had the best season of his career last year with Streit on his wing for a good portion of the season.
  13. Wow, those numbers don't lie. I didn't realize it was that bad. On another note, will Hamrlik be back for the games in Florida?
  14. Sorry for the double post, damn work computer.
  15. I'm glad Ryder is back in, hopefully the stint in the pressbox has made him hungry again. He needs to simplify his game, don't try to be too fancy, he needs to park his ass in the slot and wait for a pass, then rip it home.

  17. We need to come out hard in this one, it will be a lot tougher than Tuesdays game. But it will also go a long way in sending a message to the sens if we can beat them with a full line up.
  18. Oh im not saying I wouldn't do it, just would hate to see him go. But I guess you gotta give up something to get something in return. Unless you're Mike Milbury LOL, whats he want Crosby, Ovechkin???
  19. Higgins, Ryder, and a second sounds good to me. Seein as we're gonna lose ryder at the end of the year anyway. But I would hate to lose Higgins.
  20. Higgins does look really bad lately, doesn't he? I know it's just a confidence issue, but he's making really bad decicions out there, and he isn't winning any battles for the puck.
  21. I think the effort was there most of the night, the leafs did a good job of getting their sticks in the passing lanes, and toskola stood on his head.
  22. I for one have blamed a few goals on Huet this year, but I would not blame him on any one of those goals. A save on any one of those 3 goals would have been more luck than anything from 95% of goalies
