Oh boy -- am I the only one who absolutely does not want Bertuzzi to put on a Habs uniform? Maybe I'm being too dramatic but I think he'd disgrace the CH.
Bertuzzi is the biggest asshole in the NHL on and off the ice. We do not want him in a Habs uniform.

Streit is a not good enough to play in the NHL. He fights the puck constantly, is positionally poor and the game seems too fast for him, he is also too small. Not needed on this team

An interesting read, particularly since Ward feels that the Habs did not believe in him.

This guy was far more of a mistake than Marcel Hossa. I think the Habs could have used him this year.

I wouldn't mind a guy like Kozlov, but he is inconsistent. He is very skilled and WHEN he is playing he CAN be dominant, with his combination of strength and skill. That being said, he doesn't always come ready to play.
I think that Zed and a pick would be sufficient to get him, but what the hell do i know. I do think that Ribs Zed and a pick is overpaying, especially the way RIbs has been playing of late.
We definitely do not need another soft Euro centre. ER...unless they will take Bonk in return.

the bizarre part is why this is not in a montreal paper.
Exactly. And i really find it odd that a current player would comment on another teams handling of a player.

Check out this weird article written by Brodeur in the Edmonton Sun representing Goaltenders Union Local#101.

You forgot about plekanec....he should definitely be in the good as aside from one bad pass at the start of the year....he has had a great rookie season and is very underrated because of his size.
Even in the game last night, he always bounces off guys who go to push him off the puck and still controls it, and i rarely see him lose the puck or make a bad decision....right now he seems to be the only bright spot for the habs
My mistake. I did forget Plekanec. I don't believe it was ever a choice between Garon and Theodore. It was a rash move on Gainey's part. Even with a so-called elite goaltender you need a good backup goaltender if for no other reason to push Theo.

Good: Huet, Rivet, Souray, Begin, Higgins, Boullion, Cote
Bad: Souray, Koivu, Kovalev, Ryder, Ribero
The Very Bad: Dadenault, this guy is a complete bag of shit. Outmuscled, bad decisions, no discernible offensive ability. Komisarek had regressed to the point where he cannot make a clean bodycheck our a simple outlet pass.
Gainey should be roasted over the coals for both the loss of Garon and Perrault (20goals!).

Trade them both, get 2 Canadians to fill in the roles, ie Richards and Lecavier.
What do expect from a Russian and Finn hockey player?
We all know that this game is Canadian and the reason we do well in international competition is our heart.
We as Canadien fans therefore expect this out of our NHL team players. How can anyone think that these foriegn players could ever demonstrate this Canadian trait night in night out. It is unnatural for them, their talent allows them to play in our league, I am not saying they aren't talented, but the most talented team doesn't recieve the cup most seasons. You want heart hire Canadian.
I disagree with your take on Finns. They are tough people and tough competitors, Koivu's heart and desire far otwighs his physical stamina. I will concede on Russians who do give up.

The way this team plays demoralizes everyone. If your captain can't play hard every night, then that's a problem .If he is playing hurt, he is not helping the team. I think he was great for 10 years but now he is not playing well. If your going to call out Theo, Bonk, etc. Then all the other players who aren't performing are fair game to be called out. It doesn't matter what your name is.
Don't get me wrong, I am not questioning Koivu's effort, I am frankly puzzled by his ineffective play. Is he exhausted by trying to outmuscle defenders that 5 inches and 40 pounds heavier each night. That being said, the line no longer looks like a good fit. Considering that lack of scoring maybe it is time to call Dags back up.

What is wrong with these guys? Have you ever seen two glummer faces? Even on the power play they look awful. Remember when either one of them would play the wheel man on the PP? I think they do not like playing with each other. I guess this is what happened with Kovalev in New York. Also, Dadenault looks to me that he is totally intimidated about physical contact out there. We just can't lose to the Leafs!

I do not have a problem with Komisarek in terms of his physical play. It is his puck handling that is brutal, he handles the pucl like a hand grenade all too often just banging it up the boards. As for Streit he is absolutely useless, poor positional play, ineffective on the power play and he is consistently outmuscled. Begin has disappeared, Kovalev seems in a snit and Bonk is awflul but seems to be rewarded with more ice time. By the bye, when is Plekanec back?
Why Ryder Again For The Shootout?

I agree. Our guys all seem to shoot on the goalie rather than deke. Most of the goals I have seen scored have been by players making a move. Higgins, considering his hot hand should have been included. Of course, Gainey could have selected Zednik. Although he might have skated all the way down the boards to behind the net ineffectively.
