How can anyone not love ol' Bob Cole when he's coming out with things like "Jordan Weal SEALS THE DEAL". The man was and is a gem... fumbling a few names be damned. If you want perfect grammar and semantics and proper enunciation and pronunciation and whatever, go read Shakespeare.

This is a good example of Bergevin trying to re-invent the weal.

Me too! Class act all the way, and always has been... guy is simply extraordinary.
Now I wanna see him captain! lol, what a bandwagoner eh?
Same here. I was originally leaning toward Pacioretty, but now I want to see PK. Complete bandwagoner.

This guy is absolute gold. I am very very proud he is on our team.

Hamburglar.... meet Max 67

I'd sooner see FRED Penner

Was it ever announced what Prust's injury was, and how long he was slated to be out?
-
I think a reason MaxPac is so injury prone is because he's all arms and legs out there. For instance, if you watch him close when he's taking someone in the boards (or being taken in himself) - there's a lot of flailing about of the arms and legs going on. Then look at a guy like Plekanec who is very compact and "together", who rarely gets hurt. I dunno, just something I seemed to notice...

Bob Cole is the best voice in hockey presently. Even if he gets confused at times!
I agree JMMR, I never understood all this Bob Cole bashing. he might get a name or two wrong, but he gets you into the game. Maritimers always make the best play-by-play announcers.

Therrien: "I'm really proud of dose guy"

yesss!

He'll be signed sooner than later, according to reports. He'll likely go to Hamilton to finish the season there, then join the Habs as a reserve for the playoffs.
thanks dlbalr, I'm excited to see this kid play.

any word on what's happening about Kristo?

I heard Don Cherry is being charged with sexual assault... I saw it too... He groped and forcably kissed a young man on TV... Called it a "gilmour". Sick, just sick.
is that a "hockey play"?

where the heck do we fit Jagr in now??
-
there was no need for P.K. to go for a monster hit in 4-on-4 overtime... just a dumb decision.

I like our team this year... quite a lot. Good balance, good skill, good speed.. from top to bottom. The last tweak I'd like to see is on the 4th line : Armstrong brings nothing - no toughness, little skill, pas de fierte, manque de chien, rien. I'd like to see Gabriel Dumont in that spot. Dumont would bring more tenacity and offensive upside... someone for Eller to make plays to. Then our lineup would be cemented.
-
I tend to agree with you CC, I also am becoming disillusioned and sickened by all the senseless violence and injuries.
It's hockey - not @%$#@^* ROLLER DERBY.

I think keeping Moore would have been at the cost of one of the younger players, the habs already look to have a logjam at 3rd and 4th lines, and soon they'll start losing some of these players if they don't get NHL time. We already saw Trotter head to snowy Russia to avoid more AHL. I think the team had a choice between Laps and Moore, then they went with Laps.
you got a point Bar

Good move for the Bolts...I think with the addition of Eller Moore became redundant.
Regardless of Eller, still wish we would've kept Moore - he was damn good and really solidified the team. I would have found room for him somewhere on the 3rd line - maybe move Eller over to wing.

Let's be honest europeans or russians cannot be expected to share the same passion for winning the stanley cup as the north americans do. Other than Detriot I can't think of another team that will seriously challenge for the stanley cup. Everybody can argue as much as they want but in my imaginary roster I would have over 95% north americans. Besudes the KHL is offering money so I hope that they fly to the east so we can watch real canadian hockey like it used to be.
I dunno Niko... did you see that commercial of all the speechless reactions of Stanley Cup winning players over the years? Seemed to me like Teemu Selanne was showing some emotion and passion there....

Despite the goal by Bergeron, I'd like to see him in the press box. SO, SO many turnovers and bonehead plays tonight. Please get him out of there. I have no idea what JM has against poor O'Byrne, only playing him 2 minutes tonight - so he made a mistake with the clearing shot over the glass, big deal... why does Bergeron get so many free passes.

I am hoping for Boston personally. The Flyers are just way too goonish for my liking. I wouldnt put it past the Flyers to purposey attempt tp injure Halak, and if Halak gets injured Price has absolutely no chance at beating the Flyers. If Bos tries the same trick, Price could beat them. Plus I think Bos will highly underestimate the Habs. These Habs arent Komisereks pushy Habs anymore.
No matter which team the Habs face the Habs cant underestimate either of them. The standings this year are highly misleading. The 6th, 7th and 8th placed seeds arent really the 6th, 7th and 8th placed seeds at all. Its highly important not to foget that both the Booins and Flyers both had lot of their top players injured too.
In reality if you factor in all the teams injuries I bet the Sens would be more like the 8th place seed. Bos and Philly are definitely better teams then they finished in the standings.
I agree, I'd rather face the Bruins...the Flyers are way too dirty and goony. Plus looking at their rosters, it seems the Bruins have a few more exploitable holes in their lineup. Yet, they have an excellent goalie in Rask. Still, I'd prefer the Bruins.
