A "media" Giant is part owner of this Team and yet no player is "incentivized" to diversify income revenues outside of the rink. I get hockey players are not as (bball players) "marketing" friendly but (imho) that is BS. In Canada you have some real "clean cut" boys image of (some) hockey players.
The only reason it isn't happening is bcuz the Habs don't want it to happen. Give x "superstar" player a good hockey wage but have a nudge nudge wink wink deal; player x will get: adds, cameos and what ever else to amount y to aide the close.
Didn't the Leafs try that with Stamkos and Canadian Tire? I'm sure I heard they offered something like that.
Molson pretty much has their products in Every restaurant/bistro/bar in this city/province maybe even country. Can't tell me; they can't make a hockey star into a cross country poster boy in Bunch of bars, to add to a hockey contract! I think the man will can set his own top end, from this playoff run, he's on. Why can't he be the 2nd coming of a great player? Martin St Louis set his own top end and he got a cup and a HoF ring to go with it. NS can set his own top end IMHO

I like Subban more then Drouin as a player even if diff position of play.
I know the practice rink, and all the blah blah blah of south shore but I really miss seeing him (Subban) around city, one of the few players that lived on the island of Montreal and not the south shore somewhere.

I would like to see MB make a move for a Lindholm or Theodore or OEL or something along them lines.
I would be willing to give up something on the left forward side. I think Drouin is steep but if in return the Left D side can be sured up with one of the three above. Imho Drouin can go. I know this will probably not happen as that would be admiting failure on MB part for making that trade, at the very least, for a Left Dman.
Swing for a real deal MB, even if it means swapping Drouin. Do It!!
I know I should not say it this way. I know that youth in the league is where it's at and that getting one of the Dmen Commandant recomends would be better in terms of cost in getting said player and paying, yet I have enjoyed a good bit of the boys on the ice this year and I would like to keep enjoy it a little bit longer, like 16 more wins once season ends longer (might not be for this season) but I'm pretty sure ya'll know what I meen.
