  1. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss!!!!
  2. These Western games are too late for me...
  3. Those were a style of jerseys that the Bulldogs used to wear in the pre-game warm-ups a few years back. Last night was the annual game (always the final home game of the regular season) where the Dogs present their jerseys to the fans who won them in a draw. These jerseys are worn by the players during the game and are then given to the winners at the conclusion of the game in a ceremony out on the ice. This style of jersey has been the one used in this event for the last number of years, as well as special games such as "Pink in the Rink" to support breast cancer research. So, yes, I guess you could say that they are a special/alternate jersey.
  4. Let's Go Griffs!!!! C'mon Grand Rapids....we are counting on you!!!
  5. GO DOGS GO!!! Final home game of the regular season as well...
  6. good win the for the Dogs. They now have 89 points and are only 1 point behind 1st place Manitoba. And guess who is NEXT on the schedule?.... It's going to be a battle for 1st place in the Division when the Moose play the Bulldogs this afternoon at 4pm. My only concern is that the Dogs probably got back into Hamilton about 3am this morning....I hope they are rested...This is going to be a good one!!
  7. GO DOGS GO!!! With last night's win, the Dogs have solidified their hold on 3rd place for now. Another victory tonight would be a huge help.
  8. Yes, the crossover happens because there are 8 teams in the Western Division and only 7 in the North Division. If the 5th place team in the West finishes with more points than the 4th place team in the North, that team from the West bumps out the team from the North and takes their place. This is why it is so crucial for the Bulldogs to finish the season no worse than 3rd in their division. With the current point standings, if they finish in 4th they will not qualify for the playoffs.
  9. The Dogs now solidify their grip on 3rd spot in the Division....
  10. The puck is on the ice to start the 1st period.... LET'S GO DOGS!!!! WE NEED A WIN!!!!
  11. I don't know how good that news might be....the Dogs are still teetering on the edge of the Playoff-Abyss. They need to get some good solid wins in these remaining games.
  12. Bulldogs are temporarily in 3rd with 81 points. Marlies also have 81 points but they sit in 4th because they have fewer wins. Slightly OT: It doesn't really affect the Bulldogs at the moment for the playoffs but the Manitoba Moose/Abbotsford Heat game is being televised on CBC at 1:00pm ET this afternoon(Sunday) if anyone is interested.
  13. Final Score: 4-3 win for the Hogs in Overtime. That's Hogs with an "H", not a "D". Bulldogs continue their losing streak but at least got a point out of this one. The game report can be found at this link: http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1008396
  14. If this keeps up, the Dogs will be signing the Season Ticket Holders to PTO contracts!!!
  15. And the Bulldogs lose again.... 2-0 this time. Abbotsford's 2nd goal was into an empty net. Here is the game summary: http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1008350
  16. ....and the decimation of the Bulldogs roster continues. At least I can look at the bright side of things: I won't have to pay for playoff tickets. I know that's a terrible thing to say, but I have given up. Unless we get some healthy bodies back into the lineup who can put the puck into the net, his road trip is going to be the end of all the playoff hopes.
  17. Bulldogs lost 3-2. Here is the scoring recap: http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1008338
