  1. Hey Mike!! Welcome to HabsWorld. See you at the Bulldogs season opener.
  2. Both games vs the Binghamton Senators: Friday September 30 in Victoriaville, Quebec (7:30pm ET) Saturday October 1 in Drummondville, Quebec (7:30pm ET)
  3. A few years ago, when the Bulldogs played in the Iceberg Cup Tournament in NFLD vs the Toronto Marlies and the Manitoba Moose, I recall that during one of the games, the Bulldogs radio feed with Derek Wills was not working and I was forced to listen John Bartlett call the play by play from the Marlies radio feed. He did a good job then and he will do a good job calling the Habs games I'm sure.

  5. Irrelevent to those who do not attend the Bulldogs games, but for those of us who do, this is fantastic news!! The old video screens really sucked!! Thank you Mr. Andlauer!! Article written by Scott Radley from the Hamilton Spectator website: http://www.thespec.com/sports/bulldogs/article/575456--copps-gets-new-video-screens
  6. This is GREAT news!!! Ron was / is a good Coach and a really decent guy. I'm very happy to see him back with the Dogs
  7. Exactly. In 2009-10 he bounced around between San Antonio, Abbotsford, and Bakersfield. Having some stability will be good for him.
  8. St. John's will be in the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference. Abbotsford now moves to the West Divsion.
  9. He will if he plays like he did this past season.
  10. I've been busy. LOL.
  11. OMG!!! Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Look what I just discovered in the emoticons!!! I'm going to have fun with this one!!! LOL!
  12. Sorry to hear that Zanette has appeared to have been released. He was a good addition to the roster when we needed some bodies. With some further AHL seasoning, he could have continued to help the Dogs.
  13. Media release from the Hamilton Bulldogs website.... Hamilton Bulldogs Owner and Chairman Michael Andlauer announced today that Glenn Stanford, who has served as President and Governor of the Hamilton Bulldogs since 2006, has stepped down to accept a position with the new American Hockey League team that will be based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland, beginning in the 2011-2012 season. ”Glenn has been a great and valued asset to our organization over the past five years and his experience and consummate professionalism will be greatly missed”, said Andlauer. “I am extremely happy for Glenn and would like to congratulate him, Mark Chipman and Danny Williams for successfully bringing the AHL back to Newfoundland and Labrador. I wish Glenn all the best in his return to his hometown of St. John’s and I look forward to playing them in the upcoming season”. "I would like to thank both Michael and Lucie Andlauer for bringing me to Hamilton and for the opportunity to work with first class individuals and an outstanding organization”, stated Stanford. Michael Andlauer will take over as Interim President and Governor of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club.
  14. The locker cleanout is usually a very quiet affair. Scott Radley has been travelling with the team on the road and I'm guessing that much of what could be said in interviews has already been written in Radley's articles which have already been published since the Game 7 elimination. As far as who might be back....Hmmm...that's really hard to say. The AHL has huge turnovers in players each season (usually about half the roster) so it's difficult to even try to guess. dlbalr is our real expert here on contracts and such.
  15. This was written by Scott Radley of the Hamilton Spectator. Getting home from Texas has turned into an adventure for the Hamilton Bulldogs. Immediately following their Game 7 loss to the Houston Aeros, the Dogs got on a bus and drove four hours to Dallas where they were to get a flight home early Wednesday morning. However, the same weather system that spawned all those tornadoes in the American south led to numerous travel. Hundreds of flights in and out of Dallas were postponed or cancelled, including theirs. Dozens of planes had to be taken out of service while damage from the giant hailstones was repaired. As a result, the Dogs were stuck. But there was a small silver lining for the team. The hotel where they were put up for the night was on the resort that is hosting the PGA Tour’s Byron Nelson Classic this week, meaning they were able to get out on the course and watch some of the action when the weather cleared a bit. The team got on a flight Thursday and is expected back in Hamilton late afternoon and will finish cleaning out their lockers on Friday.
  16. Here we go....1st period underway. LET'S GO DOGS!!!
  17. Oh Yeahhhhhhhh!!!! GAME #7!!!! BRING IT ON!!!! GO DOGS GO!!!!
  18. AWESOME game!!! Ryan White was on fire!!!!....he was hitting everything that moved (and HARD). I would like the see the stats of how many hits White had last night. He received 1st star of the game, but should have received all 3 stars.
  19. Hate to say it, but I was so down, I was even trying to avoid Derek's radio broadcast...have been following the progress on the AHL website for live updates.
