Question here about emergency call up, since we have that much injured players.
For Us college, how can we could call up Sean Farrel ? Would it be a pro contract and you can leave or there are rules against that ?
The other one i was thinking of were Mesar and Heinemen. I think CHL can call up but you have to send them back. EURO i have no clue, we take him black anytime against money ?

Calgary won it.
Calgary gets rid of Monahan and Lucic contract after this year, 11.5 m this is more than enough for Huberdeau contract. They have 9.3 available this year for Kadri, plus Zary and Pelletier will most likely make the team. Add to this a 1st round and Weegar. Calgary is now great shape for a long stretch.

Good news but far from NHL i hope they give him 1 year in Sweden and one year with AHL. Only 10 pts and minus 9. Seider a real prospect had 28 points and +14. Eric Gelinas had 34 points and + 22 do you want him back ?
Romanov his not Bobby Orr and Norlinder is not Lidstrom. Both will probably be regulars in the NHL but this tendancy to see habs prospect as saviors or future all star is dumb.

Primeau weakness is rebound control so they say since he was up from university. What did the goalie coach and player development did to take care of that is mind blowing. Toronto read the report shot and went for the juicy rebounds.

I see him in a 7 defensemen line up to play PP and if we have more than 3 goal lead sit Weber.

To beat the Leafs Danault needs to be way better than that on faceoffs being our best option there, would promote Lekhonen to Danault line instead of Tatar.

Depth will come handy, give the guys some time. Would dress up taxi squad team saturday and still beat those nucks.

PLDubois wants out of Colombus.
What could be a fair return ? Colombus would be looking for a young center, KK, and since Dubois is more proven you have to add lets say Arnia, wich would not hurt because of RW depth. You were Kekalainen, would you do it ?

Colombus was poor at c it did not help productivity. I am ok with it, i see him with Drouin and Suzuki.

Any news on Byron ? Rotowire says 02/14. Hopefully he is back by this date and get traded for very very late round pick and some dump salary for the end of this year. If I had to clear a forward with no size to balance our light weight offense that is the very first piece I would move. Remember our top scorer will be a 5.6 smurf. We need to balance that.

I like KK comment after the game saying it was his favorite game this year and how he felt all the coaches behind the bench were trusting him. If he feels trusted by his coaches and not sit after every little mistake he may pass this level of uncertainty that is blocking him. He is a kid took from being a player to develop to the upper level with little noticeable improvements in his game under Julien coaches team.

I wonder if MB would have took a similar deal last year, let's say Fowler for KK and Byron. Today's situation would be different and the future not that jeopardized.

Would like to see a Petry for Cogliano + Dellandrea.
You guys see my point. Sell a valuable asset, take some deadwood salary back to land a near ready blue chip.

Can't help to think how Kotkaniemi would have compete against the best players his age. For me only exceptional players should play in the NHL before 20. It's a lose lose situation to have kept the yougster in Montreal. His skating was not ready, his body was too weak to endure full 82 games, he lost the opportunity to win a junior title and habs list one maybe two years to entry level contract. Even Koivu said KK should have stay there.

Not really a trade proposal but the 48 hours window for buyout is open right after the cup.
Hoffman is the obvious candidate for me in terms of player implication. Per cap friendly buyout savings is 3.3m this year and less 1.6 year after.
Makes room for a Comtois offer around 2.5m.
More size and grit is needed.
