  1. Karlsson is hurt? I didn't see anything that would lead me to think he is hurt. Did Ottawa say anything?

There's a picture of Mark Stone on twitter with a big wrap on his wrist. Karlsson is hurt and played 31 minutes. They need to finish these guys off tomorrow night. 2-0 going into Ottawa looks like a sweep.

    P.A upper body injury

    ya just heard that too.

  2. Good thing about playing the sens is I already hate them from two years ago and I am confident we have a team that remembers that and has lots of stamina left in them. Something I dont think the sens have. Some of our slightly invisible grinders will start grinding them to bits. DSP, Weise, Emelin and Prust will be alot tougher to face from now on and lets not forget Gallagher. He will be that little creature from Alien that will break through from under their skin. Ive longed for us to face these sens again. Lets hope for the ragdolls in the ECF as well for payback for the Kreider incident.

I love your hate for the sens.....it encourages me

  3. I stand by my first diagnosis. No head injury or he would not have flown with the team. He hurt his butt. He is fine. He is rested and ready to go. I don't have a clue where the concussion news came from. It was never mentioned by the team. Just the media. He landed butt first, said ouch, saw the board coming, shoulder hit, helmet rides up a little, head hits board. Most of the impact was already absorbed by his arse. He needed to be helped off by a trainer holding his pants. Been there myself, that isn't a head injury unless his head is up his arse. There is also a good chance his neck was tweaked. Either way he should be fine to go.

    I really hope your right

  4. The key to this series is not to play the on the outside in the offensive zone. Go to the net hard and mess with that AHL goalie they have over there.....I'm looking at you DSP and Wiess and Prust and Galchenyuk.

Maybe its time to call up McCarron? My advice would be "just stand in front of the net"

but realistically I think MT will throw a curve ball out there to mess with their defensive strategy.hopefully its enough to make them second guess themselves.

  5. Many wont be pleased that is Beaulieu and not Gilbert to be scratched.

Our Defense is very deep this year. Someone has to sit and the Emelyn/Pateryn pairing looked really good last game. I personally think that Markov should be sitting a few games before the playoffs.

I have noticed that Gilbert has been much better since the trade deadline after every media outlet was saying now much of an upgrade Petry is over him, looks like he's playing like he has something to prove.

  6. I was at the game last night and noticed a couple of things if anyone is interested.

    • Although the Galchenyuk line was a mess most of the night I could definitely see why MT put them together, with a little bit of chemistry/time Parenteau and Chucky could be good together but I just don't see DD as the other part of that line. maybe DSP with Chucky in the middle? I even saw PA taking to Galcheyuk a couple of time with an expression of "what the ###### were you trying to do back there" kind of thing. They got better as the game got older.
    • The Defense was solid, I was especially impressed with Pateryn and Gillbert. Gillbert made smart plays all night. Also Beaulieu did a great job of pinching in at the right time to cut off passes.
    • Carolina was Terrible....even tho they came on in the later stages of the game. I at no time felt that we were in danger of losing this one.
    • fourth line looked good (but again Carolina was just bad)

Overall the game lacked any real flow but that could be because I was a little drunk on $10 Molson Ex's.

  7. To get Emelin back in the line up I would be taking Gonchar out.

    Markov - Subban

    Beaulieu - Petry

    Emelin - Gilbert

Now everyone is playing on their correct side. Gonchar should still be switched in regularly to keep the D fresh and since he can play either side its pretty easy to do. Weaver will be the tougher one to argue getting playing time but he still needs some reps to keep game ready.

The first thing I thought of when looking at this lineup is...in a couple of years Beaulieu is going to look great on a pairing with Subban.
