I understand your point of view. Get mre cap space and a 1st round pick. But we should have kept Rivet because to make it to the playoffs you need heart,determination... and DESIRE!! Rivet brought that to the table and now I don't think we have enough of it!

He played very well up until the all star break then Huet went downhill from there and so did the habs! What should we expect from him when he comes back from his injury?... or will Halak ride les canadiens to the playoffs?? :hlogo:

I have always been a fan of Carey Price. and when he dominated the World juniors I thought for sure he would get to play with the Canadiens by the end of the year. But as the date moves on, his chances of playing this year are fading! When will our hot prospect get his chance? Some of you Habsworld members are experts so I expect some answers! Go :hlogo: !!

An intelligent player but not a smart GM!

What do you think of Carbo (Head), Gainey(GM), Kirk Muller (Asst.), Doug Jarvis (Asst.), and Roland Melanson (Asst.) performences on and off the ice. I know that Carbo is a First year and I didn't think he did too bad, especially at the strat of the year when he was getting Jack Adams talks. Gainy could have done better, but with the tradgic loss of his daughter I thought he started to slip. He gave away some our heart and soul (Craig Rivet) and didn't fufil the goaltender issue (he should have got CUJO ) not a very good year for Gainey's part. Jarvis and Muller and Melanson helped mostly with special teams, and they did a hell of a job mostly on powerplay, but with Souray anybody will have a great PP. Here are my thoughts on their Coaching Status by the end of 2006-2007 season (Keep in mind that they might change if Habs go far into Playoffs... I'm am judging this as if the Habs never made the playoffs.) Guy Carbonneau - Still with the Habs, it was only his rookie year, he will have a better year next year as head coach (I got his Autograph at a game ) Bob Gainey - hate to say this, but i think he should be fired unless he convinces the Montreal staff that he will have a huge signifigance in the offseason (sign some keys players) Asst. Coaches - I think all of them wil be back! Good Job boys What do you rate the coaching staff of the :hlogo: This year? Out of 10... or just state some reasons! Go :hlogo: GO!!

halak is hot. we can have pressue on our D. Good strategy to have a 2 man forecheck.

Put Samy in!!! Every night i see him get lots of chances. He is fast and will play good cuz he knows his season is on the line, if he doesn't perform then his season is done . carbo might be surprised by samsy if he decides to put him in the lineup. :hlogo: All the Way!!

Do the habs have it :?- You may say yes if you saw koivu's reaction to his goal against the leafs ... But if you saw koivu being mugged by Ward tonight and nobody jumped in , then it's a whole other story! I dont think they have enough heart to win key hockey games , but halak and some other youth might just proove me wrong. By heart I mean like what the oilers had last year! They would block a shot with their head if it meant winning a hockey game. I just dont see some guys having heart... we will see in the next couple of games. Go :hlogo: Go

Good point. Wake up CARBO!!!!!! But another concern... you may think im nuts, but i watch all the habs games and the last 10 or so Markov isn't impressing me! He plays 24 min a game (most on habs) and is'nt even a 0 on the +/- department. Komisarek should take his role! He is 3rd in hits in the league and is +4 most for habs defensemen! He is a guy with lots of heart adn thats what the habs will need in the long run! Markov is not performing like a 24+ minute defensemen! GO :hlogo: GO!!!!!!!!!

The habs get to play the rangers twice more. Thsi will either make it or break it for their playoff run. Rangers are currently in the playoffs and only 1 point past Habs. This is key for Habs success. Any thought bout the games... starting goalie... who will step up? Will habs still be in the hunt... :?-

It doesn't depend on coaching anymore at this stage, Carbo has done all he could... now it's up to the boys to show some heart, determination, and willingness to the game. This means blocking shots, Sticking up for teamates and EVERYTHING else to win some key games. It all depends if the boys want to show up and play a full 60!
