  1. Well....i can honestly say that i'm not wasting my time watching the Canadiens until they get back to their original form...It really is boys vs men out there (with the boys being us of course  ). There's no need to do player grades for this road trip because it's almost self explanatory who is putting the effort in and who isn't. Can't blame the goaltending for this one either. Lets all just put our hands on the panic button and wait until we are officially no longer in the playoff picture then smash it repetitively until something is done :puke: .

  2. Wow....this game combined with the leafs blowout and the live game i watched in buffalo really sinks it in that this team stands no chance in hell for a cup...

blow it up...what happened to we would be rebuilt by 2009 BOB!?!?? my Arse. Get a GM that has a set of gonads!!!!

  3. How easily you forget how bad the powerplay was towards the end of last season, especially the playoffs. The league figured the Habs out, they've never adjusted. Having Streit this year wouldn't make a damn bit of difference.

38 points in 50GP this season on a team that is on the quest for Tavares....

Face it...we have no blueline shot right now which is why our PP SUCKS..we needed him

On a side note if we had that big shot, Kovalev would have more space to operate on the half boards like last season

  4. Like i've said much earlier this season, BG the Habs need a d-man, that can move the puck and play the PP point. But right now, not much chemistry on the ice. Lately the team D has been horrific.

Well you see his name was Mark Streit and he had a bullet and could play forward as well since this team is so injury prone...but nope...guess hes just a cap hit as everybody on here said before july 1st last year...

  5. I'm embarassed by the last two games. [/size]

No kidding...try being there live for 1 of the 2 (buffalo) :puke:

    15-2 shots in the first?

I dont care how bad of scoring chances they were..hits lead to opportunities...opportunities lead to goals and we got burned tonight

In a way i am kind of glad this happened....mainly because I am going to the March 21st game and hope i can see a damn habs win live for once !! ^_^

Earth to carbo...give the fans what they want....a scrap for eff sakes!!! Sergei and Grabovski need to drop the mits next game forsure!

I liked BGL's tenacity today...however he was not effective on the PP...i would like to try Komi in front of the oppositions tender on the PP for the next series of road games and see how that works!

I would also like to see Diago-Koivu-Kovalev on a line.

Heres to hoping they at least play .500 on the road trip

  6. I do not like Carbo's decision to put Laraque in front of the net...I would much rather see Komisarek battling down there.

    PP first unit should be...

    Komisarek-Koivu-Kovalev

    Markov-S.Kost

    2nd Unit

    Higgins-Pleks-Pacioretty

    Hammer-Gorges

Secondly....once again the shots do not reflect who should be ahead in this game....the Canadiens have not have many quality scoring chances; a majority of shots are coming from the perimeter.

If the 3rd period is not good.....i am very positive that a shake up is going to be made with one of the guys who are supposed to demonstrate leadership.

  7. I dont know what im more excited for...the game itself or little stit vs grabs!

So i'll just write a note before i'm out

Dear Habs: please dont make me an even angrier fan after that pathetic performance i witnessed live last night in Buffalo...redemption time tonight!

  8. I will be at the game tonight...section 304 row 2. Got tickets at Par price so it's a pretty damn good view for 116 CDN (pretty much just me and the balcony)

Anyways my buddy and I did a mock game on NHL09 on the 360 last night and i won 5-2 (however 2 of those goals were scored with lang)..so im not so sure  but last time we did a prediction i won 6-1 with the Habs over the leafs (for starting game of the season) and that was the exact score! Let's hope the trend continues...Go Habs Go!! :hlogo:

  9. Is this players that the canadiens can realistically get? I'm going to assume so and say yes.

I'm going to pretend that i am Bob Gainey for this season and the offseason...during the season

I am going to say Higgins and Plekanec, 2 1st round Picks for JayBo (with a conditional signing of 2 years in Montreal)

    Sign Emelin over the Summer

Sign PK Subban to a Contract

Let Breezer Retire, Let Cube Walk, Let Dandy Walk, Buy Out Begin, Kostopoulis

Resign Lang for a One Year Deal

    Resign Kovalev

Let Koivu Walk to free agency if nothing can be done or trade him to Minnesota to play with Mikko

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=19335 ...Anybody Remember this guy? He would probably sign for a reasonable amount, and Voila...you have a solid Line Morozov-Lang-Kovalev

Sign Matthew Lombardi or Antoine Vermette for the right Price

    Sign Greg Stewart

...I think if the Canadiens do this...they will be just fine and will really have taken a serious step forward

that would make the lineup look something like this

    Morozov-Lang-AK27

    AK46-Lombardi-Pacioretty

    Lats-Vermette-SK74

    Stewart-Lapierre-Diago

Now that is 4 Lines that Can Score right there!! (Keep Laraque for grit games...however our Blueline would look DAMN good and tough)

    Markov-JayBo

    Hammer-Komisarek

    Emelin-Gorges

    Obyrne

And then i woke up   Ps: Salary Cap wise I think i would be royally F'ed LOL

  10. not sure if this has been said yet... but...

worst player on the ice today... no question... KOVALEV!!

What is it with this guy? he plays great when he's wearing the C and then plays like garbage when Koivu is back.

    this is so true...

As I said in another thread...i think BG is going to choose ONE between him and Koivu this summer. I really hope it's Kovalev still. He means good for the team even though it doesn't show sometimes. And for those of you who said he played like "siht" today...your all nuts. Boston overplayed him and knew that nobody else could get it done. That is the reason why Kovy doesn't seem like last year's Kovy!! Secondly...Carbonneau is so stupid putting him on the RHS with Chara's daggar reach for the 5 on 3...Put him on the left side of the PP...remember this? http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=pnrD7c3ZMAw&...feature=related

if he can do that last year he sure as hell can do it again this year!!!

I don't know but too many of you people on here roll over and die and don't believe when the going gets tough for this team..

Lets face it...Don't try and run Kovalev out of town...he made watching the Montreal Canadiens FUN again. I'm going to point my finger at Bob Gainey until he does something and finds a true number One centre so the weight can be lifted off Kovalev and Koivu's shoulders.

  11. A few positive things from the game:

Ryan O'Byrne's play i was very impressed with. If he plays the rest of the season like that I will have no complaints about him

Other than that the Canadiens should be ashamed of themselves...no sustained pressure...it is time for a shakeup

  12. Cant believe they are actually losing to LA...cant blame price on the last goal though...Gorges' boneheaded pass gave stoll a gift. Lets Hope they somehow find a way to win...i dont care if this one has to go to a shootout...

However if they play like this tomorrow Boston is going to blow them out of the water

  13. I would love to see a Kenny vs. Spenny type of show with S. Kostitsyn and Grabovsky!

Kovy and S.Kostitsyn vs Koivu and Grabs ....reality TV...I'm guessing they would have to put it in the 10pm spot due to all of the cursing/swearing/ fighting...In fact Vince McMahon might as well give them a call.... he might be on to something
