nice to see the refs get a call right
-
that is so no goal
-
I have a terrible feeling that we will see bergeron on bergeron crime before the night is done.
-
kill bergeron.
-
We are in Boston....
They refs claimed we were in the crease and interfering.. since Thomas was completely free, I don't get the interference..
that is some shit.
-
I didn't have the sound on. Whyy wasn't that a goal?
-
look at it this way - after Dandenault, Schneider, and Chelios, it will be awesome to see Lidstrom play for the habs in the 2014-15 season.
-
For those who criticizes Price comparing him to Chris Mason, Mason is not doing better than Price..

Check down the list..
I think you mean Steve Mason?

go habs go! Leaving in like 20 minutes! Haven't seen my boys live for so long that the last time we went my dad and I were arguing over whether Niinimaa could solidify the D Corps.
-
Just got my tickets. Anybody else going to the hawks/habs game on Friday?
-
I also am surprised that Halak is starting. Gives us a better chance, though. Martin is impressing me more and more as the season wears on.
Surprisingly, I also think Price has to get back in soon. I'm hoping that the competition for playing time will improve his game. I'd much rather have *2* young good goalies, than one.
Price will get in for one of the back-to-backs. He'll get Toronto if Halak wins tonight, Chicago if Halak loses.
-
True. I guess there are no rebounds when the puck is in the net!!!
His save percentage is .910 which is only good enough for 22nd in the NHL
(http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8470860&view=stats#&navid=nhl-keymatch)
to be fair to Halak, his SVG is .922 over this four game streak.

There's rumours floating right now (came from a Montreal Radio Station) about Price to Chicago for Huet and Toews. They are false rumours! RDS has debunked them.
La Presse: François Gagnon / Price à Chicago : c’est faux!
Just thought I'd post this in advance of anyone sending in a rumour on this. Pure garbage.
yeah, that is bunk in so many ways.

Rumor has it Laraque was waived today according to a french outlet. I got that from another site i was reading this morning.
link?

Our OT performances make me think about 1993...
The one-goal games are scaring the hell out of me. I like the look of the team, but it's really easy for tie games to go the other way. Teams that win a lot of one goal games tend to be due for a correction later in the year. Hopefully the 2nd line comes together and/or Markov comes back before some of the luck runs out.

As for Stewart, well, Martin probably needs to evaluate him a little bit more. If he doesn't deliver, why not call up Pyatt, Trotter or Ryan White and give them a shot at the big league as utility players?
well, I believe Stewart is subject to waivers and I calling up one of the minor leaguers while keeping Stewart up would put a strain on the already untenable cap situation.

I got a theory: Halak at home, Price on the road.
maybe I just answered the goaltending controversy in my head:
When I read this I thought "I hope that's not true! I want to see Halak play in Chicago."
-
Very well put
Plus, we are without Markov
and a rejuvenated O'Byrne

More than likely, someone else will be injured. If not, look for Bergeron to take the place of whichever forward is struggling.
Yeah. If nobody is injured, I'd expect MAB on the 4th and Gill to sit most of the time.
If Bergeron can keep up his play and can be locked up long term at a reasonable price, I wonder if Weber is used in a trade package. He probably has limited value, but he is looking more and more likely like a guy who, if he ever gets a permanent spot in the NHL, will be essentially a PP specialist. Once you have Markov, Bergeron, and Spacek, do you really need a Weber? Especially if in 1-2 yrs PK can do the job and actually play 5 on 5 minutes?
-
Also 3-0 with my Game Threads and JoeLass' Yvonne pic.
:hlogo:
you better keep em coming as long as the streak lasts.

Can we keep Bergeron long term?? I can't believe he was sitting at home waiting for an offer. A francophone offensive defenceman, perfect...
I think it depends on how far along Subban is at the end of the year. I think there is a hope that he can provide Bergeron's offence and play a better all around game. Now Bergeron is cheap (for now), so maybe they can coexist, but remember that they have to be looking forward to replacing Hamrlik's minutes and Spacek is supposed to have some of the PP skills we need...
-
fantastic period overall... aside from the breakdown on the Gaborik goal. Exciting to see the goals start to come. And Bergeron as a PP specialist? I'll take a one trick pony over a no trick pony every day of the week!

I'm one of those kids!!!
how the hell did you manage that? I probably spent more time doing french than english at my english school.
