  1. Nice backcheck by Perezhogin. I think we've got a great poor-man's Fedorov in the making.
  2. Allright, now that the horseshoe is up our asses let's take advantage of it.
  3. I'd say Perezhogin gets the third star unless the goal scorer is in OT and he completely creates the goal on his own. And with 10 seconds left, doubt that will happen.
  4. I'm sorry, did you want him to stop a one-timer through two legs? Talk to Belfour, he seems to be able to pull that out of his ass tonight.
  5. Stupidest penalty I've seen all season. Horton was NOWHERE near the puck, why bother hipchecking him? And goddamnit, it JUST cost us.
  6. Dear Mike Komisarek, Please stop hitting Ryan Smyth and play some defence. kthx.
  7. Greene dropped the gloves first. Instigator my ass. This game is really pissing me off, which hasn't happened in a long time. I hope Greene enjoyed that, because his night just got a lot worse. Look for the energy guys on the Habs to punish him in the corners. I predict an ugly and close finish tonight. (Wow, what a prediction! )
  8. I don't understand French well. What the heck happened? It looked like Downey didn't tie his jersey down. Is he getting a 10 for it?
  9. Anyone else think that the pumpkin RDS has looks like Demers?
  10. HUET!!! (Yeah, I'm back to posting. I bet all you old forum trolls missed me )
  11. Calm down, the stick on Rivet was because he was pushed and crosschecked by two Montreal players.
  12. That was classy of Hedican to stop before the play was whistled down to see if Zednik was okay. WHAT A SAVE HUET!
  13. They can't make them fog-proof. They can make them fog resistant, but every visor will fog. Trust me, I've got a top model visor on my helmet and any time I took a spill and ended up face first on the ice, my visor would be a giant cloud by the time I was on the bench. I would start the game with my visor on properly, and each period I would slowly start moving it up to counteract any fogging. Sometimes I'd be playing with 90% of the visor over my eyes. I never had a problem with the glare, but I also have a mirrored visor which has a really sharp tint to the inside and makes life easier. That being said, I've also played without a visor and I haven't had a huge problem getting used to it. A quality NHL-style visor helps a lot. The distortion on the bottom of the visor can suck, and you can't really fix that because it's on the bottom where the glass is cut, but it's not as bad as wearing a cage or full-shield (You want fogging, wear a full shield). I refuse to wear a cage. The only time I would ever consider it is if I had a facial injury that allowed me to play but couldn't take contact, even then I might just play with a longer visor ala Heatley If you want the experience of playing with a cage, go to work or school with chicken wire taped to your face. It's uncomfortable and your vision gets messed up, especially when you're trying to find a puck quickly in your skates or following an incoming pass.
  14. I don't like inserting Kostsitsyn in that spot. Either he takes a spot on one of the three offensive lines, or you put a defensive-minded player with Murray and Sundstrom. Bonk, Murray, and Sundstrom have been fantastic at shutting key players down and getting chances off playing good defence. I just don't see it working. If that lineup is true, look for Kostsitsyn to play 5-7 minutes a game (until Begin is back) and Bonk/Pleck to take turns double shifting on the fourth line, maybe have Ribeiro take a double shift once in awhile to cover Bonk/Pleck on their own line.
  15. Ribeiro didn't do anything wrong there. He hit Wesley with the follow through.
  16. Koivu's all class. He saw Streit with that goal and went straight for the puck in the net.
  17. maybe the whistles are put away because the players are concentrating on moving, not on hook and grab defence Or maybe not calling everything that looks like it might have involved a penalty on only one of fourteen camera angles might slow the pace down and stop the end-to-end rushes.
  18. You start to put the whistles away and whaddya know, a game happens.
