  1. Kovalev skated into his stick with that big nose. That was not only amusing, but effective. Habs PP
  2. Murray brings energy and can play solid defensively. It's what Montreal needs right now.
  3. Hmm, fantasy pool pickup perhaps. Speaking of Nash, when is the Canadian Olympic roster released? Tomorrow.
  4. Kovalev's 700th Career point. Nice to happen at home, he got an ovation at the bench.
  5. Also of note, Rick Nash with his second goal in as many games back from injury.
  6. Rivet is itching for some action, he's twitching in the box.
  7. Also of note, Pierre Dagenais is one of 4 Habs with 2 hits. Only one Senator has 2 hits, and nobody has more than 2.
  8. Now that's an interesting line. How are the rooks doing for ice time? Kostsitysyn had one shift, Murray had 7, Streit has 0 (not enough PP time, I guess), Perezhogin and Dagenais had 6 shifts each, Komi has had 8.
  9. Sundstrom - Begin - Ryder are clicking really well.
  10. I'm really getting sick of the reffing quality in the NHL. Every game I watch now is decided by a ref. It's disgusting. The Montreal game and Vancouver game on Saturday night was a disgrace to hockey, and it doesn't seem like it's stopping.
  11. Hasek's done it so many times it's almost stopped being amazing. It's just what he does.
  12. Murray benfited from Begin being tossed. They see him as another Begin-type player, which every team needs a couple of. I also saw Murray get some PK time, which I thought was fantastic. I see Murray as more of a grinder and less of a defensive-specialist as Begin has become, and I still think Begin is more of a threat offensively, but it's not like either of them will be breaking any scoring records. I'd love to see Chipchura make the team next year and center him with Begin and Murray. Big two-way center, two hard-hitting wingers who can take care of their own end.
  13. I'm with you on that. Rick Nash is by far my favourite player, and it's been unfortunate to see his injury troubles this season.
  14. Komisarek is also an impressive -3, Boullion and the entire first line is -2
  15. 20 shots on goal that period. Absolutely disgraceful.
  16. Whoa! Dagenais threw a hit to get the puck to clear the defensive zone!
  17. He got knocked into the puck AFTER the hand pass. It should be a goal, but I think the rules state otherwise :/ [Edited on 2005/12/11 by Toren]
  18. Hey, can someone help me out here? What's "bullshit call" in french?
  19. wasn't Beauchemin not part of our organization at some time? I'll have to check that. Beauchemin was a longtime journeyman who played for the farm. Got picked up on waivers, I beleive. Either that or he went to free agency.
  20. There is something you'd never see Hossa do. Flatten someone. Atta guy, Murray.
  21. Okay, I'm chiming in on this late. Don't start hopping on the "I Hate Gretzky" bandwagon just yet. Don't forget what kind of man this guy is. Absolutely no respect. Secondly, the two situations were different. I wasn't watching the Ottawa game nor did I see highlights due to a party, but here's what I know. Doan is not a fighter. He can fight, he will fight, but he's not someone who's gonna drop the gloves with enforcers. He'll fight you if he's pissed off and you play more than 5 minutes a game. Doan is the captain of the team, a gold medal winner, a World Cup winner, and a first-line winger on any team in the league. He's a class act, and he was going in retaliation to a hit on one of his players. Chara is an enforcer turned all-star defenceman. He fights enforcers. He fights McCabe (<3). He fights anyone. And he's also the kind of the guy who would instigate a fight because he wants to. Because he knows he can win. So what I hear is that Chara was put up forward? C'mon, that's a no brainer right there. If I was the league, I'd suspend the coach for a game and give Chara the fine. It sounds like he was just following his coach's orders. If you beleive for a second that Gretzky asked his captain to goon someone at the end of a game, give your head a shake. [Edited on 2005/12/4 by Toren]
