Some rumors have alzner seeking 4 years/16 million. I could stomach that.
If he wants 5 years at 5 million, I don't want him.
If MB signs Alzner then we can kiss Markov goodbye. I would rather have Markov...

I would take Jumbo Joe in a heartbeat! I hope MB can pull off these signings on Sat:
Joe Thornton
Alex Radulov
Andrei Markov
Karl Alzner

Good news. I really want to see a line of Patches/Chucky/Drouin next year.

Hmmm, it will be interesting to see what MB does with Markov and Radu. I can't see him caving on their ask of a 2-year and a 6-year contract, respectively. Does he let them walk?
-
I'm convinced a top-2 dman is coming:
vacant - Weber
Markov - Petry
Schlemko - Benn
Jerabek - Davidson
Redmond

Just like everybody over-values Beaulieu, they're doing the same with Hudon.
Vegas takes Plekanec. He's $6M for one year and becomes their defensive forward specialist.

There were photos. He wasn't there.

Apparently the Habs are say Beaulieu had a terrible attitude and it was rubbing off on Galchenyuk. They were not happy about that.
I guess being benched for the biggest game of the year showed where Beaulieu sat with the Habs management.
At least we got something for him.
Rumour has it that Beaulieu was the other Hab in the SUV with Kassian when he crashed two years ago. They kept it hidden befause they valued him at the time and thought he would clean up his act. Apparently that wasn't the case.

Man, Galchenyuk is in a funk. What's the deal?
-
Nesterov is bad.

Crap game so far. We are not deep on the blueline at all...better pray none of the replacements are needed during the playoffs.
Weber, Emelin and Benn all hurt.
Davidson, Nesterov and Lernout playing instead.
That better change next Wednesday.

I like when MTL has players who can win faceoffs. Carbonneau, Muller and Koivu spolied me (us). The current crop of centres can't win faceoffs regulalry and its disturbing. Faceoffs are a part of the game of eventually losing a key faceoff will hurt you. Just like winning a key faceoff (like when Ott won one in NY which lesd to Weber's goal) can help you.
-
What is Emelin doing? He looks lost tonight.
-
This game is crazy fast!
Raanta in for the 3rd?
-
Emelin is offensively inept.

Way better game for Mitchell
I was gonna say, the 4th line has been buzzing all night.
-
Lehknonen finally buries one! Great forecheck by Max.
-
Ott with a faceoff win in the offensive zone, leads to a Weber goal.
1-0 Habs
-
Gallagher replacing Radulov on the top line. My prediction is he gets another goal tonight.
-
My guess is Ott draws in tonight. McCarron out.
-
I know its only been a few games but I like Jordie Benn and hope LV doesn't take him. MTL will protect Weber, Petry and Beaulieu most likely, leaving a few decent dmen exposed:
Emelin
Benn
Davidson
Nesterov
if I had my way, I'd rather LV take Plekanec than Emelin (both have stupid contracts) thereby freeing up significant cap space.
-
I know it's early but any thoughts on who the Habs will lose in the expansion draft? Can LV take Hudon?

Why do you think there is negative comments?
People love whining?

What a depressing thread... glad I watched the game instead of reading everyone's negative comments. Cheer up gang, 4 wins in a row!

I just don't think there's enough money. Does $21M and change allow MB to sign Radulov, Galchenyuk, Markov and now Alzner? Plus, they still need to address their biggest need - a centre who can score.
