  1. Terrible sim in the home/home against Pittsburgh

    Home Leg - Pittsburgh 5 - 3 Toronto

    Away Leg - Toronto 0 - 6 Pittsburgh

Now the two teams from Ontario are bottom of the East, but the gap is pretty close to the playoffs, the East looks like it will be a very close race this season

  2. Sad to see Laakso leave as I had considered him up until this season in my untouchable core. Trunev and Kivisto are both great and Kivisto will fill Laakso on the PP. Trunev will help improve my offense and now helps start to make the team younger. 3 scoring lines are now possible which is a great help. When Hank/Rads come back, high powered offensive hockey in Toronto.

    Thanks Noah

  3. I hate that song so much.

Hilarious that Leaf fans continue to dwell on 1993 and call it their last chance for a Cup when they made the Western Conference Finals in 1994 against the Canucks and the Eastern Conference Finals in 2002 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Plus they constantly forget that the Gretzky/Gilmour/Fraser incident was game SIX and the series ended in game SEVEN. If they hadn't blown that game seven we would have saw Montreal vs. Toronto. Which Montreal would have killed the Leafs in.

Game six in overtime with Toronto leading 3-2 and would have been a game misconduct to Gretzky due to the NHL rules of the time, would have been more than likely a Toronto PPG which would have made it a Montreal/Toronto final

  4. TOR confirms, trade fills a need for me for the Nordiques, Arcangeli I never saw as usuable so it works for both of us

    easy negotiations, thanks

2nd trade - it works for both of us, Kucherov will be an NHL'er down the line and Howse and Gorbunov will be great for the Nords, Howse with overdevelopment potentially a future 4th liner, Bourque will be missed, but the deal was worth it

  6. 2-1-0-0 Sim

TOR 5-3 NYR - Lapierre, Henrik (2), Gowbowski, Kostitsyn

TOR 6-4 WPG - Hedman, Kostitsyn, Leblanc, Henrik, Yakubov, Lapierre

TOR 4-6 DET - Terrible, go 3-0 down, 4-1 down, 5-2 down before succumbing to an EN goal to end it for DET - Semin, Laakso, Hedman and Leblanc scored for me

currently lie 9th in East, 1 point behind 8th place Philly

Louis Leblanc got Player of the week which I'm pretty damn pleased with

however, lost Henrik Sedin for 4 months, looks like another trade is in order >_>

can't find the boxscore to post in the violation thread, it is no where in my EHM folder

  7. Dont get me wrong I really loved Kovalev in Montreal and think he should have retired a Hab (I wasnt kidding when I said I loved seeing him fly around with his helmet off making other players look stupid).

But do you really think that Semin will succeed under Therrin? I wouldnt take the chance if I could get Doan for the same money and with the young team we are going to have that 10% of character is going to be very important.

Btw, I was going to bitch at you for it, but not as much as people who start throwing accusations of Sasha being a coach killer, when the guy can barely speak English in the first place. It's not Therrien who would be the biggest stumbling block in Sasha ever succeeding in Montreal, it would be the fact we have barely any Russians.

  8. TSN 990 will soon be converted to RDS 990 (or 690), meaning the end of an English all-sports station in Montreal. Hab games will move back to CJAD when the switch occurs (which will take some time yet). Originally there were plans to move TSN to 690 on the dial but those appear to have fallen flat (it was supposed to happen early in the year), now RDS may get that spot with 990 leaving outright.

I can honestly see why Anglophones hate Quebec...

  9. I feel I overpaid a tad, but my team is lacking a scoring winger due to Radulov's injury and this deal helps me out short term, and helps St Louis, easy negotiations and should pan out for the best for both teams
