Brampton won 5-2 in Reading Sunday. Fucale sent back to Laval 1-22 (do I smell a trade?). Not sure what Brampton is doing for a second goalie-perhaps Spano is on the way back. ???
-
Fucale got a 4-1 win in Adirondack last night. Dagostini lost in a shoot out in Reading tonight (Sat). Fucale was the back up. I guess Spano had gone back to the SPHL without playing a game
-
not a good weekend 2-1 losses for Brampton in Reading and Glens Falls (Adirondack) and a 4-2 loss today at home to Adirondack. Today was a 2-2 tie until late in the game and referee Jason Faist called a late one and sealed Brampton's fate. I realize I'm a homer but non calls were horrible and Marino as Capt got an unsportsman like penalty when questioning non calls. Star D man Jordan Henry who has a plus/minus of 0 is out injured and was acting as an assistant coach behind the bench. Stephan Fournier who is tied with Marino for the team lead in goals is also out. One surprise is that the ageless one, David Ling, is back on the roster and did a beautiful set up on the second Brampton goal. Ling had been playing with Hamilton of the Senior AAA hockey league (Allan Cup hockey) this season
-
some Beast news-Willie Corrin (D) sent from Laval to Brampton -Brampton D man Willie Dornbosch loaned to AHL Belleville -Patrick Spano, goalie and a Montreal native, signed with Brampton-played with Fayetteville and Knoxville of the SPHL this season -Vincent Dunn (F), loaned by AHL Belleville to Brampton (former Binghamton Senator)

Brampton split a pair in Wheeling just before Christmas and also in Greensville SC after Christmas. I believe Fucale was 1 and 2 in his appearances
-
after winning in Wheeling last night 3-1 with Hogberg in goal, they are currently behind Saturday in Wheeling 4-0 early in the third with Fucale in goal.
-
Zach Fucale reassigned to Brampton ECHL today
-
nice 3-1 win by Brampton today over the Atlanta Gladiators. Rough game vs the Boston ECHL club. Former Hab Prospect Brady Vail was on the Atlanta roster and was a non factor. Brampton goalie Hogberg was one of the stars.
-
Beast beat Kalamazoo 5-4 in OT tonite in K'zoo. Vallorani with the o/t winner. D'Agostini in goal. Beast play Atlanta Gladiators Sunday afternoon at home. Former Habs prospect and Junior Star Brady Vail is on the Glads roster. Atlanta is a Boston farm club and were formerly known as Gwinnett (sp?)
-
David Vallorani has returned from a part season in Sweden to the Beast and was a big part of a shoot out win over the Worcester Railers (NY Islanders ECHL affiliate) today. They did hold a 3-1 lead early in the third but a succession of penalties to the Beast lead to the Railers tying the game late in the third. Goalie for Brampton today was Ottawa prospect Marcus Hogberg
-
Brampton lost to Toledo today 3-1 killing the six game winning streak. One-one game until three minutes left in the third. Connor Crisp on the Toledo roster and scored their first goal

as I was saying to Brian, I go south on vacation, and the Beast picked up their game with 6 straight wins. 5-4 comeback win yesterday on Marvel Comics day in the league. Beast had very nice Iron Man jerseys and socks while Reading had green and white Hulk uniforms. Goalie Hogberg, on loan from the Sens, looked a little shakey again and I thought he let in two softies when he went down too early. He is 6'5" and covers a lot of space and his control after knocking down the puck has to be worked on. The return of Scott Jacklin from a short stint in Denmark has helped a lot. Re the Iron Man jerseys-I believe the league has contracted with Meigray in NJ to sell all of them, unlike the Remembrance Day jerseys which were sold locally.

Belleville goalie Chris Driedger (sp?) assigned by Ottawa from Belleville AHL to Brampton ECHL. Played previously for the Binghamton Sens and Calgary Hitmen
-
Brandon Billie was backing up Dags today. His limited history is on hockeydb.com

Beast are in trouble. Lost 5-0 today in a school kids day game to lowly Jacksonville. Fournier's first game back and he gets in a fight just over a minute into the game showing he's a one trick pony. Not sure why I bought a partial seasons ticket package but for some reason, they did away with the flexpacks which were almost as convenient with the exception of having to turn in a voucher at the box office each game. Bad team won't do much for attendance

been a tough start for Brampton. Been to a couple games. The Swedish goalie (Hoberg) on loan from Belleville/Ottawa was not impressive. Team misses Pacan, Vallorani, Billingsley and Venuto from last year. Have already cut Mitch Zion. Had to sign Mahle as an emergency goal tender back up when McNiven was sent to Laval. (Mahle's facebook mentions he is a labourer somewhere-bad when only a beer league guy is available). Expect to see someone more local signed this week before Wednesday.

re Dalhabs comment re David Ling---he is 42 and always a hoot to look at his stats at hockeydb.com -the bad news tonight is The Beast lost game 6 to Manchester 5-4 to give the Monarchs the series four games to two. It just seems every time they went ahead or tied it, Manchester would capitalize on an error. Zach Fucale did look soft on two of the goals and I guess they needed him to be superman every game. I figure David Pacan must have recovered from injury as he was first star with two goals and two assists. Been a fun year. They came oh so close to tying the game in the last minute with Fucale pulled and a power play but it has been a fun year -

looked like the Beast had a lot of shots on Manchester goalie Britten (sp?). To be honest, I was too nervous to listen -

Beast lost last night and tonight and now are behind 3-1 in the series. Manchester can finish it tomorrow at home. I think I am proud that they battled Reading to win round one and in this one just ran into a better team with more AHL experienced players. Maybe bus legs and some injuries we don't know about until the fat lady sings. David Pacan was not the sniper as in the regular season and in tonight's 6-1 loss, Blain was the only scorer. Was a thoroughly entertaining year. I made 14 home games and might have done more but you guys know what the traffic is like in the Toronto area on week nights. Weekends were fine. -

Beast lost 3-1 at home last night (3rd goal e/n). Series tied at one game each. Next three games in Manchester. Games 6 & 7 back in Brampton May 5 evening and May 7 2pm if necessary. Officiating was kind of so - so much like the officiating we seem to see elsewhere in other leagues (ECHL has two referees in playoffs). Fucale excellent again -
