  1. Wasn't Smith-Pelly #21? I guess that's the number of the designated fat guy.
  2. Not much of a jump from the home team in the first ten minutes. They had two decent chances, but the Habs controlled the play.
  3. No idea, but the fourth line has much less speed without Martinsen. Mitchell is definitely better on defense, though. Julien probably wants to rotate him in to keep these guys fresh. Emelin skated today in Brossard-that's a good update.
  4. Some adjustments I would make: -Keep the top 3 lines for next game the same as OT. -Get Shaw off the first PP. They need someone in front of the net, that's the problem. They don't have another center that can do that, and if they bump Gallagher, who takes the faceoffs? At this point is McCarron on the PP any worse than Shaw's one goal? Which brings me to the next point. -Time for Dwight King to come out of the lineup. Fat Boy is out of shape and can't keep up with the play. Or do anything else, really. McCarron-Martinsen-Ott has a nice ring, like the commercials we have down here for personal injury lawyers. (I like the trap muzik ad for 411-Pain. "Put this number inside your brain, 1-800-411-PAIN). -That should be Nesterov's last game in a Habs jersey.
  5. Not quite. After the fight with Weber I was feeling really good about things and poured a couple fingers of Buffalo Trace single barrel a buddy gave me as wedding present.
  6. Rags are on the mat. They need to take advantage before the phase of OT when the players are just too tired.
  7. I don't want to add my usual Max boilerplate, but he was 1v1 (on the PK) in the offensive zone, even with the defender and instead of dropping his shoulder and going to the net he fired a 40 foot wrister. He's got 5 shots. Does anybody remember them?
  8. Let's give the Rangers some credit though. This is what sucks about the 4/5 matchup, it's a second round matchup in the first round. Cripe's Radulov again. In the season we saw the best of Julien Hockey. Now we're seeing the worst.
