Trade Subban traded to Nashville
Lovett's Magnatones replied to dlbalr's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
Kind of a Stockholm Syndrome, imo, where some fans need to spin every management action as being correct to keep their confidence in a team. The spin will only get worse as time goes on, like the Bruins fans with Tyler Seguin. -
Trade Subban traded to Nashville

Yep, Bergevin traded away the only reason to watch the team to be the fourth banana in the East. At best. Coming to a theatre near you: Slow Shea and the Stickchecks starring Movie Max Who the hell would want to watch that? -
Trade Subban traded to Nashville

Wow, it's like they have an NHL caliber management team! They've got PK manning the top of the umbrella and the other four are down low. I remember they tried an umbrella for like three powerplays. -

First goal of the year for Nashville. On the powerplay. Do I even have to finish this thought? -
I think something like 4 kids with three different women. It's okay, according to DON Subban was the one with the character problem.
-
That's my take. It seems like we already have five of him on the roster.
-
Maybe he can teach the youngster how to have multiple children out of wedlock...
-
I'm sure he's champing at the bit to stay with Markov.

Trade Subban traded to Nashville

Fans want to align themselves with management because it makes them feel smart and they want to think the team is on the right track no matter what. -
Trade Tim Bozon traded to Florida

I don't have much to report back about Racine. He played one game when the Cats were a disaster and I don't recall him or his play even though there was a 3/5 chance I saw him play. If it was a home game. He's never made any noise, but this is a nothing trade anyways. Hopefully he can help St. Johns. -

You can tell right away he has a ton of talent, even if he regresses to pond hockey. Imo, this happens to players that have talent/size that greatly exceed their peers. They can rely more heavily on athleticism than smarts. His skating reminds me if Victor Hedman. He's deceptively fast and really hard to stop when he has a full head of steam. -

On one play, I noticed Sergachev below the red line in the offensive zone with the puck on a Leaf's stick. -

Yeah, one area where he has Subban beat clean is hockey sense. -

Thanks, I'm just hoping to have power to listen to the game. I've been watching or listening to the news for what feels like three weeks. -

Thanks, man. We're three miles from the ocean. They evacuated the entire area from the ocean to Federal Highway. (about .75 miles). A lof of whackos are staying on the barrier islands and there might be a 5-9 foot storm surge. We've got 40 gallons of water and plenty of food. We just need the roof to hold up and the hurricane shutters to do their job and we're in good shape. -

I'd love for the power to hold up long enough to listen to this game on TSN690. I've been up since 5:30 this morning waiting to be clobbered by Matthew. Here's to a win from the boys-and having a car and a house in twelve hours. -Cheers, LM -

Yep. Philly (or NYR) put him on waivers, Goat picked him up and then he failed the physical. -
He's got some pretty stiff competition if he's going to be the guy that gets 0 goals. We've got a whole bottom six of 'em.
-
I haven't been following the first week very closely, but doesn't Lehkonen have 0 points? That can be a problem.
-
We're just getting the knives ready for PK's big year. It's preseason for our jibes as well.
-
We dealt him because this organization is run by a bunch of idiots. That they had even a modicum of success means, to me, that they fixed a bunch of simple mistakes made by a group of even bigger idiots.
-
It looks like he's fitting with well with the Predators' power play. He got a PPG his first game.

Maybe you should? Next time some guy tries to say he isn't interested, hard close him, and then if he still says no, tell rip the phone out of the wall or slam the door of their office. Buyers are liars. -

Exactly. There's a way to show you're on board and excited to be on the team without to resorting to the worst kind of dirty play and childish bragadocio. That was something out of a Junior B game.
