DD was really good in that period, good thing we didn't trade him lol. I bet Prust is loving playing with him.
Hopefully Gally Chucky and Patches can get some results on the score sheet or Patches and DD could be reunited. -
The unthinkable has come to pass..... DD and Patches spit up

They look SO BAD tonight. Got to avoid the emotional reactions though. They are better than they're showing tonight but not as good as their early season record would suggest. There are never any easy fixes but players I would be looking to upgrade on include the usual suspects; DD, PAP, and all bottom 3 D.
-
For all crap dumped on bottom few d-men, Habs top scorer is tied for 49th.
So safe to say, Habs are operating with zero All Star forwards.
Thankfully Subban is 7th in d-scoring (Markov- 29th) and Price is Price!
Despite his rank in league scoring I still think Pacioretty IS and all star. Tied for 10th in LW points and sitting in 3rd for LW goals tied for 8th in the whole league in goals. Not to mention PAP and DD are not exactly Perry and Getzlaf (see Matt Beleskey).

Pleks need to start showing up again. 1a and a minus 3 in last five games aint good enough.
Not good enough for sure.
Habs are going to need everyone going tonight and the usual strong game from Carey.

good shift

Sure happy we didn't end up signing Vanek this past summer.

I would definitely sell the house for Evander Kane. He's a millionnaire...
He's living so large...
He'd be such a good fit in Montreal. Awesome attitude in general.
I'd give Pax anytime. Or Eller ++. Emelin as well.
I really don't get it. He got all these questions and negative attention from the media after the fist Vegas pic. Now he posts another pic and acts all surprised and annoyed when the same thing happens. Kane may have potential but he has only ever hit 30 goals once and apart from that season never hit 20. This season; 4 goals and 9 pts in 17 games thus far, nuff said.

Would have like to see Patches bury the empty netter to help in his quest for 40 but overall a good road game. Habs needed this one and the Avalanche were hungry and playing with some desperation.
-
Tyson Barrie is good.
-
Classic DD followed by some classic Patches.
Funny to see Patches look over and see Weiss with him and just shoot without hesitation.- 2

Colorado has McGuinn, MacKinnon and Guenin

He played all of 1:18 in the 2nd so that's almost sitting for a period. (Of course, a good chunk of that benching came from the 4-on-1 goal...) Nonetheless, he sat a lot.
Well at least MT is somewhat consistent.

So close for chucky

That was probably Weaver's first pinch of the season. Kind of dumb by Prust, should have just tried to tie up a stick but he is'nt a D-man oh well.
-
cant remember where I heard this (possibly Scotty Bowman) but good teams don't give up goals in the first or last minute of periods and the Habs just did both in short order.
-
Eller has to flatten Briere in that situation
-
Hopefully they play like to make a statement tomorrow.
Bad bounce or not, 1 goal is not good enough against any team, never mind the Sabers.
-
Only price can make fighting the puck look so easy.
-
That was kinda lucky and definitely greasy but i'll take it, should open the game up.
-
I'm not quite as enthusiastic about the Habs' chances after that period. Price looks like he's fighting the puck which we don't see very often. Has anyone caught what Prust did (or said) to earn the 2-and-10? Nice job by the PK crew to bail him out; Sekac doesn't look out of place playing shorthanded either.
I was wondering about Prust too.
Sekec has looked good.

Great tilt. Prust and Stewart "two good guys...nobody got hurt"
Habs going on 5 straight periods with out a goal.
So much for the changes and different looks on the powerplay. Same old same old. Horrid coaching on this issue.
Its funny for a team that obviously has confidence, they look a little tight on the PP. The players know it's an issue and want to be better but they're squeezing the stick too tight.
-
I guess that was Prust answering for the hit on Ennis but I'm not sure he is best serving the team fighting as much as he currently is. That was his 6th fight of the season and he had one in preseason. I think is is important to stand up for team mates but we need Prust in the lineup and if he ends up with around 20 fights this season I think that drastically reduces hi chances of staying healthy, especially for a guy with his shoulder history. Sometime fight are appropriate, but you shouldn't have to fight a guy every time you make a good clean hit. Also it often seams that he is fighting bigger guys that him. I hope Allen can take some of the burden off.
