Armia with a power goal.
I thought we were getting the goal and the power play.
Beauty goal by Armia!

They are not as intimidating without Crosby but they are really playing well, have only lost 2 of their past 10 games. It will be a tough test for the Habs.
I noticed that some of their top scorers, such as Guentzel, McCann, Rust and Kahun all have pretty high shooting percentages so hopefully they're due for some regression.

I have to admit that I was not a fan of the Domi trade at the time. I was convinced that it was only a matter of time before Galchenyuk broke out. Boy was I wrong and boy does that trade look good now.
I have to say, that Penguins lineup doesn't look so intimidating with Crosby out. Hopefully the boys can make it 2 in a row.

I though the team showed a lot of heart in the 3rd. Too bad they couldn't get 1 more.
-
Night after night Gallagher brings the same high intensity battle level.
He has got to be my favorite player on the team.
-
Fleury is a rare bright spot. I think he's got a good career ahead of him.
-
This team sucks!
No finish and they have to have the worst defense against 2 on 1s in the whole league.
The one thing they had was some decent depth. A few injuries later and they got nothing.
-
Hopefully this helps

If MB could find an upgrade for the 3rd pairing that would help. It shouldn't be too tough to go find a #5 dman.
I think it was better with meet weber
And chairot petry
What a terrible game. What happened to this team? They looked so good to start the season
-
I got so mad after the first goal that I missed the goal by the Habs lol
-
Well this is pretty much a must win.
If they don't come to play tonight, the only thing I can think is that they're trying to send a message regarding how they feel about the coach.
Maybe I'm too optimistic but I think they stop the skid tonight against a team they shoud beat.

Don’t like the new lines. 3rd and 4th lines look more like a 4a, 4b..
Tatar Suzuki and Lekonnen looks like a line that could surprise with some offense. Especially if they're going against 3rd pairing D.

Aww man! Excited for the start of the season but still keeping my expectations in check.
Really looking forward to see how Kotkeniemi develops, if Domi can repeat last years production and to see how Suzuki does in the NHL.
-
Really scared of the deal MB might give Duchene. Big UFA signings are not typically his M.O
Who knows though I could be totally wrong. Should be an interesting day tomorrow

I honestly don't understand why this team is so desperate to trade pacioretty.
Soon to be 30 and wants too much term?
MB incapable of having positive relationships with large number of players?

Calling it now.. top three will be:
1. Buffalo ~ Dahlin
2. Carolina ~ Zadina
3. Montreal ~ Svechnikov
Just have a feeling Hurricanes go with Zadina.
Carolina did draft Martin Necas 12th overall last year. He was the one playing center on Zadina's line at the world juniors.

I can't wait till this season is over so everyone can finally move on and move forward.

I thought max looked OK last night. Good battle level and contributing more small details.
Chuck is looking better. Imagine he got the opportunities that max and Drouin get.
-
Thats what I call a high skill finish!

All 4 Habs in the corner. Thats bad penalty killing.
Yep! Just left the Canucks best goal scorer all alone in the slot.

Froese seems to take more than his share of offensive zone penalties

Who needs Markov? We have Karl Alzner the next 5 years
I would have preferred Emelin or Beaulieu lol

Ugly
At this point with all the cap space still unused, I think its safe to say that Bergevin's biggest mistake so far is not being able to resign Markov.
What the hell was he trying to save the money for?
Can't be a good manager if ego gets in the way. -

I'm happy the Habs aren't losing but coming off of getting spanked on Saturday, that was a terrible start. They got better as the period went on but I was hoping for more jump from them than they've shown so far.
Maybe it was just me, but after giving up that first goal, they looked like a team that wanted out.

I'm calling this a must win tonight.
Even though Ottawa just beat Boston, we have got to get these wins over the teams lower in the standings.
