  1. Well, as much as I think we would all like to rather have them playing in a Habs uniform, its good to see them getting action elsewhere, to at least stay in game form... Must suck though to have to leave everything behind over here, to play on the other side of the ocean. With many players taking this route, its obvious that some of the older veterans with families and such, will decide to stick at home, thus, losing them if there is a long lock out for good. (Because they'll get out of shape and such.) Its a sad time for NHL hockey fans everywhere.

  3. Hmm... will Shane Doans Goal be on this list in the future... lol... GO CANADA!!! :can::can::can::can::can:
  4. It's kinda like when the Habs play the Leafs on CBC.... you can tell who it is they going for....(most of them... them an their Laffs)
  5. So common, was there any doubt?... YES!... lol, Finland played a great game. Kipper let in at least one goal I'm sure he'd like to have back. Either way, great game for both teams... Doan gets the winner, that line was great tonight, the puck seemed to follow Thorton around. Vincent Lecavalier as Tournament MVP?... Sure he had the most points, but, I don't know if he would have been my choice. Getting that crucial goal in overtime against the Czechs probably helped secure it though. WHAT AND UGLY CUP!!!! :nono: :can::can::can::can::can::can::can::can:
  6. And whats Zedniks overall?... Kovalev?... lol
  7. I was just watching Sportsnet, who were talkin about Lockout and all that great junk... Something caught my eye scrolling along the bottom of the screen... Turns out Columbus has picked up Beauchemin off the Habs waivers... :nono: Terrible news when you think about it. He was supposed to be developing enough in order to try to make the team this year, or at least be readily available incase of injury. Someone plz tell me I misread the scolling update... and we still have him... (BTW... You Heard it here first )
  8. Wow, go Habs eh... even if it is Habs jr. Great stuff from Milroy. Chipchura with 3 assists. Things are looking good for the future .
  9. My thought is all the Tampa players on Team Canada will have Kipper's Number... for obvious reasons... Expect Iginla to have an idea or 2 of where to shoot the puck as well. (Sure I heard Kiprusoff comment on Iginla's inability to score on him in practices but still, gotta have a better chance than the other guys?)
  10. Center: 1-Wayne Gretzky 2-Mario Lemieux 3-Steve Yzerman 4-Phil Esposito 16-Mark Messier 6-Pat Lafontaine 7-Adam Oates 8-Peter Stazny 9-Marcel Dionne 11-Brian Trottier Right Wing: 20- Lanny Macdonald 2-Mike Bossy 3-Guy Lafleur 4- Jari Kurri 5-Temmu Selanne 6-Brett Hull 14- Maurice Richard 8- Marc Recchi 9- Gordie Howe 10-Dave Taylor Left Wing: 20-Kurk Muller 19-Frank Mahovlich 18-Dickie Moore 17- John Leclair 5-Bill Barber 6-Mats Naslund 14-Dave Andrewchuck 8-Bobby Hull 9- Steve Shutt 10-Markus Naslund Defense: 1-Bobby Orr 2-Paul Coffee 3-Al MaCInis 17-Scott Stevens 5-Denis Potvin 6-Phil Housley 7-Ray Bourque 13- Doug Harvey 12- Larry Murphy 11-Larry Robinson
  11. Hopefully we will be able to add a 5th goal to the list after tomorrow nights game... :can: :can: :can:
  12. I just think he was pretty shaky in the beginning of the game... I agree he put in a pretty great effort, if it wasnt for him in Overtime, and several other times in the 3rd... Canada would not have won. On the other hand, i still think Brodeur would have possibly done a better job, but not just because he is a better goalie than Luongo. It's because it just seemed like the whole team was a bit shakey, and not so comfident without Brodeur between the pipes. I think it was playing on their minds a lot more then it should have. Yet, they got things together, and in the end, we got away with the win.
  13. I'm calling 4-2 Canada.... it will be a very close first 2 periods... but... Canada will take over in the 3rd... and get a goal from the defense..... Adam Foote anyone?...
  14. Agree with u Fanpuck 100%... too bad he couldn't have made the team, but, the other players were needed non-the-less. I'm sure Nash will get his chance next time around. People could argue that he is only a scorer... as his Goals to Assists ratio, is quite far from even.
  15. I agree with ya habs faninTO.... Luongo was verry shaky i find... Hope he can get the job done tomorrow if need be.
  16. Great to hear. Finally have him signed . Guess next to get done is Ryder. Then possibly a big named forward to play along with koivu?? Only time will tell.
  17. I agree with you, hoping Brodeurs hand works itself out... "The Game" by Ken Dryden... AWESOME book. My father got it for me last year, read it through in less than a week. I suggest any hockey/habs fan gets their hands on it and reads. It really takes you into everything from his perspective, excellent really.
  18. The Results are in folks... after managing to beat the Czechs... Luongo showed that management/coaches chose RIGHT!!!... DING DING DING... (well, We will never kno if Theodore might had made it a bit more of an easy win or not) Luongo faces around 40 shots... and makes around 37 saves!!!... He let in some weird goals... but none-the-less, showed up when we needed him to make the stops... sometimes without a stick. Great couple saves(at least) in OT... giving canada the chance to get their Goal... :can::can::can::can::can: EDIT:... now all we have to discuss is whether or not we think Brodeur will be ready or not for Tuesday's game vs. Finland... if not... Has Luongo really proved he should start?... (I think so... would still rather have an injured Brodeur in nets tho... :guru: ) [Edited on 12/9/04 by Macaskill]
  19. YESSSSSSSSS WE DID IT GUYZ!!!... WOW... Lecavalier redeems himself!!!!... Win in OT 4-3... i can barely breath... lol... anywayz... thats all outa me tonight.
  20. Wow, This should be intense. Gotta say I like the sudden death overtime right now instead of a certain memorable... shootout... Have to agree with u there Quebecois... If we score, they wont get the chance to respond this time.... Games about 2 start... talk about the outcome later...
  21. How much do i hate Lecavalier?... I knew it... as soon as he got called for the penalty... anywayz... tied 2-2 now... Heatley had a great chance... but Vokoun and those snow angels... EDIT1: Luongo showed some good stuff when he lost his stick... some scary moments though. The Czechs obviously want this game pretty badly. EDIT2: OMG... Im pulling out my hair.... Draper... great goal... knows Vokoun from Nashville series im sure... then Elias... coming back with the goal... so quick... To me, He's their most dangerous player, even over Jagr... cuz Elias is the only one who shows up every game... see him do that with NJ a lot... 3-3... 2 left in the 3rd (sorri for the double post...) [Edited on 12/9/04 by Macaskill] [Edited on 12/9/04 by Macaskill]
  22. Well... its 2-1 after the second... I think this is the best game I've seen Canada involved in in the tournament since we played the US. So far so good obviously, Canada in the lead... but the Czechs are looking to come back strong in the 3rd. I have a feeling they might make it a game as well.... either that or Canada will run away with the score... I think Heatley and Iginla are definity lookin to noch a goal... hope they can both do it. Refs seem to being a good job so far as well....
  23. Well, the game is about to start, so for anyone who comes on and feels like making a post about it.. do it here!!... Is it just me or... we're the Toronto Fans chanting... "Go Leafs Go"??? .... Hey look... Wayne Gretzky's daughter... :guru: :/)
  24. Even though it is well before my time, I have to pick the Henderson goal. I have seen it several times, and heard the stories through. I've got a nice newspaper cut out taped up on my wall of him with him after the goal was scored... arm in the air... (I don't have to describe it... you all know it)... Anywayz... 2nd would also b the Lemieux goal... then the Carter goal, only because im not really sure I remember the Sittler goal... lol
